It was to be her favorite place in Rocky Mt. Nat. Park. Her safe place.
We go up there a couple of times a year, spring and fall.
It's different than going to my parents grave site, in a traditional cemetary.
I always see and feel different things when I go there.
We went up a few days ago. Spring has just barely arrived at her place.
Aspen leaves are just popping out.

She is part of this place now.

It was raining at her place. So quiet and still, you could hear the rain
on the leaves and flowers.

Trail Ridge road was still not open, because up there it is still winter.

We drove up to Rainbow Curve, where the road is closed.

They use the big boy toys up there to get the road open.

Any trip into the park requires an elk pic. The bulls are in their
velvet time of the year. Just hang'n in the meadow at Sheep Lake.

On the way home on the Peak to Peak, it was for sure winter on Longs Peak.
No one going for a summit this day.....certainly no one on the diamond face.

Her favorite place, her favorite thing, aspen leaves.
Time is healing. ....but the time is just so different now.
