Odd Simplus FF mask problem
Odd Simplus FF mask problem
Hi again everyone, here's an odd one for you. I like the Simplus FF mask (especially with the Padacheek mask liner, which stops leaks in their tracks). But even with relatively low humidity settings, occasionally I get enough condensation within my mask such that water vapor starts clogging up the exhaust holes to an extent that the mask starts to make a high-pitched squealing sound. Definitely not an air leak. I use distilled water exclusively so it's not a mineral buildup within the holes, at least not that I can see. It does appear F&P has made the holes smaller in comparison to my old Quattro FX mask, so I am not sure there is a solution to the problem, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

See my posts in this thread...I think #2 and #3 for ways of dealing with condensation.

Condensation is nothing but physics in action.
Sometimes even with the humidifier being off or set to a low setting the moisture in our own exhaled breath will condense if the conditions are just right so to reduce the chance...either warm up the air in the bedroom so the air in the mask doesn't cool or use a heated hose so the incoming air is warmer.
If you have a 60 series machine like your profile shows there is the heated hose option or a hose cozy might be enough to keep the air from cooling.
So you have multiple options available to reduce/stop the condensation in the mask.
