Brand new CPAP user here. I recently had the introductory course where they show you how to use the machine and set everything up but they were unable to find a mask to fit. They are supposed to be ordering another mask for me to try but I figured I would reach out and see if you guys have any ideas that might help in the meantime.
I'm using the ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset with humidifier. I'm 6ft 5 with a long face. I have had numerous jaw surgeries so I have a retruded chin position which seems to be the area they are having trouble getting a seal. I also have a small beard and a larger nose.
I have tried the Fisher and Paykel forma full face mask and still have three issue of getting a seal at the chin area.
Any ideas or recommendations?

getting the right mask for YOU is prolly the most difficult bit in the cpap journey. there are people here who go through a dozen. me, i got lucky and found my mask on the fourth try.
mine is a nasal pillow mask called the P10. you'll see a link in my signature to see what it looks like.
and at that same website (www.cpap.com), you'll find a big list of masks, complete with description and reviews. you might start there to see what looks good. btw, cpap.com doesn't accept insurance, so you might want to see what they have and then go through your dme.
good luck!

Re: Need help finding a mask to fit
Cpap user for over 20 yrs. I hated all the masks I ever used over those years but stuck with it since I started to sleep much better. I also have a full beard. 5 or 6 yrs ago I finally tried nasal pillows and have never been happier. I also prefer the P10 Airfit.
