Re: CPAP machine gone
Thanks for the advice, chunkyfrog! First time in 12 years (and tons of travel) this has happened to me. I was in charge of 14 pre-teens/teens going to a sport competition, so I was more distracted than usual. It was a carry-on, left behind under a chair, somewhat hidden from my sight. Sounds like yo...

CPAP machine gone
I’m very sad to report my Airsense 10 was left behind at the airport on Friday. I had hoped someone would turn it in, but no luck. :( Using my old S9 (thank God I didn’t get rid of it)!! So now what?… Airsense11? Another Airsense10 plus a travel size? Stay with my S9 and get a travel size? Ugh. This...

Re: DME woes
I failed to mention I was referring to insurance in-network DME's. CPAP.com is great. I've ordered many times from them and had no problems. Maybe I will have to switch to paying out of pocket...at least for the less expensive supply refills. My insurance can help pay for the machine itself, though....

DME woes
Why oh why is it so difficult to be a good DME?? Seriously, I've thought about opening my own DME store so I could provide accurate orders, fast shipping, and plain old excellent customer support. Why is it so hard for them to do a good job?!?!? 10 years on CPAP now and I STILL can't find a reliable...

Re: ResMed N30i User Review
Thanks to my DME who encouraged me to try it, I've been using the N30i for 2 weeks now. Gotta say that I love it. I'm coming from the Aloha, which I've been a loyal user of for 5+ years. But the N30i is going to be a game-changer for me. I still will use the Aloha sometimes, because I seem to need a...

Re: Different headgear for Aloha?
Thank you for your response! I can't remember if I've tried Nuance, but the Aloha attaches to the hose differently. I guess it's all just personal preferences. As for putting my hair up as recommended in your other thread, it's a good idea and I've tried it. Sometimes I just get sick of the headgear...

Different headgear for Aloha?
Hi, I've been using my CPAP now for almost 8 years and I'm tired of the headgear flattening my hair and/or making a birds nest. I use the Aloha nasal pillow, which I LOVE. I've tried all the ResMed nasal pillows plus some other brands, but nothing stays stable on my nose like the Aloha. I've also us...

Re: Freedom vs Medi-Pilot-24-2 Battery Packs
Thanks, Krevlin. I actually did some searching and could not find any recent posts specifically about Freedom or Medi-Pilot. I realize that the humidifier depletes the battery significantly, which is why I'm open to using it passively (no heat, no functionality other than air passes over water, no h...

Freedom vs Medi-Pilot-24-2 Battery Packs
Hi All! Wanted to get some advice and/or recommendations for a battery pack to be used for airplane travel and car camping with my S9. In the past, I've used a big ol' heavy Black&Decker Powerstation, but I can't take that on a plane and we have an international trip this summer. I recently discover...

Re: S9 Battery pack advice wanted
Resmed machines run on 24 volts DC with a proprietary plug. Otherwise, you can use an inverter for 110 volts AC, and plug in like at home. The blower alone needs a minimum of 30 watts, and the blower with heated humidifier needs at least 90 watts. As others have pointed out, using an inverter is in...

S9 Battery pack advice wanted
Who would have thought that finding a battery pack for the S9 would be so complicated and/or expensive? Sheesh! I've spent a lot of time going through posts on this topic, and I'm still not clear as to what will be the best for me. Here's my situation: 1) Car camper. I've used a giant B&D battery pa...

Re: cpap to apap
Well, I stayed with 4-20. Looked at my data this AM, and it looks like my low was 6.5 and my high was 9.7. And if any of you have been following my thread on my ear pain...no ear pain this AM!!!!! I might adjust the bottom to 5 after I look at the data for a few more days. Then maybe up to 6 if my b...

cpap to apap
I've been using CPAP at a pressure of 8. I want to try APAP. It's set for 4 to 20. Any suggestions on changing APAP settings before trying it out tonight?
