Re: How to generate compliance report from airsense 10 for medical/insurance purposes?
The agency requiring the compliance report may well have requirements about what form the report must take. The first page of OSCAR's Statistics report has all the information needed for compliance. Some organizations may be satisfied with that. Others may require a report from the manufacturer's so...

Re: OSCAR 1.3.0 is released 10/17/2021
Were you able to install OSCAR 1.3.1? If not, what happens when you try to run the installer? Assuming you were able to install OSCAR successfully, what exactly happens when you double-click on the OSCAR icon? In your Documents\OSCAR_Data directory, there is a directory named "logs." In that directo...

Re: Will Medicare pay for a change to a BIPAP machine?
How did you borrow the VAuto for a month? I would gladly pay out-of-pocket for either a BIPAP or VAuto for a month. And I believe I could demonstrate the need for a machine change to my GP using OSCAR data, if my sleep improves. So, a GP can write the prescription? Essentially, I had a friend who w...

Re: Will Medicare pay for a change to a BIPAP machine?
Medicare will pay for it if your doctor orders it. Medicare does not require a sleep study. All that is needed is for your APAP treatment to have "failed." I had a similar situation to yours a year ago. After using APAP for a year, I wasn't feeling that rested, even though average AHI was less than ...

Re: Forgot my machine
I know my throat is dry if I sleep without the CPAP machine. I have become very used to the humidity it provides. Perhaps a room humidifier might help? I've not tried that myself.

Re: Installing Oscar on iMac with Big Sur I see no migrating tool cannot read Sleepyhead data
Was the specific error message you saw was "Using <filename> , found SleepyHead - You must run the OSCAR Migration Tool"? This message happens with OSCAR attempts to open a SleepyHead database or profile directly. SleepyHead formats some of its data differently than OSCAR and the migration tool exis...

Re: Installing Oscar on iMac with Big Sur I see no migrating tool cannot read Sleepyhead data
I don't understand the exact state of your data now. If you migrated your SleepyHead data when you installed OSCAR 1.2.0, all should be well. No further migration should be required. When you start OSCAR, do you see a list of profiles? Double click on a profile to open it and then click on the Daily...

Re: OSCAR 1.3.0 is released 10/17/2021
It Would be nice if there was an option to import existing data from a internal or external hard disk. Some of those options exist, depending on what you want to import. If you are importing SD card or Backup data, click on import, then Choose/Specify to get a file open directory. Navigate to where...

Re: OSCAR 1.3.0 is released 10/17/2021
It seems people try to make upgrading more difficult than it is. Normally, you just install the new version of OSCAR and then run OSCAR. It will automatically use the same database that the previous version of OSCAR used. The one catch is that the internal database format for some machines change. W...

Yes, we certainly would like your data. Thank you. Please put "Prisma 20A" in the file name.

Prisma Smart/Soft and OSCAR -- data needed
We are hoping to add support for the Prisma Smart and Prisma Soft CPAP machines in the near future. If you have either of these machines, and would like to support OSCAR development for these machines, it would be most helpful if you would share the contents of your SD card with the OSCAR developmen...

Re: 1.03 Oscar update lost all my charts
When OSCAR has to update the database for a machine to a new version, as it did in your case, what it does is to rebuild the database from the backup. If the backup is incomplete, then the rebuilt database will be incomplete. If the rebuild is interrupted, the new database will be incomplete. This s...

Re: Possible Oscar Technical Issue
Thanks for the debug logs. I see what is happening. Your machine writes a summary record for each session. It also writes detailed data for a session it has not yet written the session summary record for. The OSCAR import relies on the summary records to define sessions and ignores data for which no...

Re: Possible Oscar Technical Issue
Please upload the logs as I described earlier. That should tell me whether the failure to upload is because the machine didn't write the data yet or whether it is a problem in OSCAR.

Re: CPAP social media influencers
I consider CPAP Reviews to be credible. His reviews are good; he doesn't just mouth what the manufacturer says, which some reviewers do. He often reveals aspects that others do not. He accepts corrections very well. As for "sensationalistic captions, hyperbole, and expressions," yes, I think he goes...
