Re: Weight loss drug trial claiming to reduce Sleep Apnea. Hmmm?
From the subject article: In both trials, people on Zepbound lost, on average, around 20% of their body weight, which Lilly suspects contributed to the reduction in sleep apnea events. Most likely, the immediate cause was the weight loss. In people who did use PAP machines, Zepbound led to an averag...

That's about all you can do. Trial and error.
There are 29 reviews here, but IMO, most of the reviews are useless. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/snugz-cpap-mask-liners

Re: New spray offers hope for people with common sleep condition
So you're saying they ran it several times and swapped around the taped and untaped folks? 1. They ran all ten subjects through with a placebo. 2. Later, they ran all ten subjects with the spray and untaped. 3. Later, they ran all ten subjects with the spray and taped. My conclusion: It was a very ...

Two groups, one mouth-taped, one not. There's only one group that was studied three times. How do you interpret the following sentence? There was no systematic change in apnea-hypopnea index (AHI3) from placebo versus BAY2586116 with either unrestricted or nasal-only breathing versus placebo (47 ± ...

Re: Leakage and Pressure Level adjustment
feel my leakage is still on the higher side On the chart you posted, your mask leak (95% - 15.6) is low. The machines adjust for mask leak up to 35 lpm (manufacturers say 24 lpm). If the leak is not waking you up or causing dry eyes, I wouldn't worry about it. Why did you only post 8 minutes of the...

Check it. It's the other way around. The study was restricted to those who do not breathe through the mouth. It could be poorly absorbed in those who mouth-breathe.vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 2:12 pmNote that the improvement was only noted in those not restricted to nasal breathing... what's up with that?

Re: My personal experience with Inspire for Sleep Apneas
I read general anesthesia isn’t recommended with sleep apnea. It's common to use general anesthesia on people with sleep apnea. The anesthesiologist should be made aware, and she will make sure you breathe steadily. That's a big part of their job with every patient. Anesthesiologists are often the ...
