Re: So confused - which machines are good?
Why take a chance with the DME? You don't know whether or not they will choose the best machine for you or the most profitable machine for them. Best thing to do is do your homework at this website and at cpap.com which is a company related to this website. And then tell the DME what you want. If th...

Re: BEWARE: A PILLOW EXCHANGE THIEF IS AMONG US
I would give it another week before I would call him a thief. The post office can lose things. Of course he/she should respond to your message. In fairness I don't ever check for PMs here, perhaps he doesn't either. If things don't get resolved I would out the punk by posting his handle. I'm curious...

Re: AHI stuck at 0.0?
Hi. Haven't been in the forums for a while and when I looked at my first post, I realized I've been on CPAP therapy for over a year. Time sure flies. I don't look at my data on the computer and in fact don't even regularly check the stats on the machine. Maybe once a week or so. But over the last f...

Re: H5i Uses alot of water with climate hose vs. Slimline
Does anyone have a problem with their H5i using alot of water? The slimline hose I had, I only used 1 tank every 3 or 4 days. With the climate hose, I use maybe a tank every 1-2 days depending on if I nap. The humidity is at 80%. Mine does the same thing. It's normal. Mine does the exact same thing...

Re: Are my leaks too high, or OK?
I'm not very good a reading graphs but aren't the leaks shown in the second graph minor leaks? The leaks look very much under control to me and no action should be taken. Am I wrong?

Re: Quattro FX or Mirage Liberty? Hybrid?
I normally use masks with nasal pillows but I'm a mouth breather. Keeping my mouth shut isn't easy. I had a Quattro (non FX model) and I always had a very high leak rate. I'll probably try the Innomed or ResMed hybrid mask next time. Is it difficult to control leaks with the hybrids? My Quattro leak...

Re: My international trip!
I'm flying Cathay to Hong Kong tomorrow night. Do I need to conact the airline in advance? I may give it a try. The business class cabins are very private and my CPAP shouldn't distract anybody.

Re: My international trip!
I know traveling with a XPAP machine is not a problem. Did you try to use the machine on the plane? I've not heard anything definitive about using CPAP while flying. Is it allowed by the airline?

Re: Extending S9 hoses
It seems the slimline is a shorter hose than most but I can't say with certainty. I don't believe you can extend either. If you manage to do it, I would make sure the readings from the machine are not affected by using a longer hose. Yes, you can use a standard hose on the S9. Be sure to adjust the ...

Re: Lifespan of Swift FX nasal pillows
I wash them with plain soap and water about every other day. I used the same pillows for about 6 months (until my HMO got me a new mask). The pillows maintained their shape fairly well but probably should be replaced every month or two at most. When I placed my first re-order this week my DME told m...

Problem with S9 SD card. Can anybody help?
I haven't check my ResMed Auto data for a few weeks. I inserted he SD card in my computer and downloaded the usual summary and detailed data for the last 21 sessions. When the download completed, I could only get readings before March 6, 2011. Nothing showed from April, 2011. I check my S9 and the d...

Re: First travel experience coming up!
Maybe I'm missing the point here but why do you guys carry so much stuff when you travel. I bring my machine and mask. If the hose breaks there are 24 places like 7-11 that sell tape. Most hotel front desk have extension cords but I can only think of one hotel (in The Netherlands) where I need one. ...

Re: Resmed S9 no longer showing Apneas
I got a 0 reading one time and got very excited. Then it happened for the next two consecutive nights and I realized somthing was wrong. I deleted all the data on the SD card and started all over again. Haven't had a problem since.

Re: My machine has died, and I feel tired and lost...
My GoodKnight 420, I think I had an S model, died a year ago. It was a great small machine that I used primarily for travel. Some machines people like here include the ResMed S9 Autoset and the Intellipap machine. I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions here with a little more info from you. Do yo...

Re: Leaks and mr smiley face.
sol, for me and some others on this forum the Quattro FFM is a big leaker. I want to use a FFM, but the Quattro didn't work me due to leaks and increased AHI. I tried the anti leak strap from pad-a-cheek and it really brought the leak rate down significantly. I also woke up with an extremely dry mou...
