Hey, rooster, thanks! Really helpful info on the Hybrid. I'm definitely giving these ideas a try. (I still haven't gotten around to cutting the chin piece off yet--thanks for the PM.) Although I am trying different masks, the Hybrid is my favorite so far.

goofproof, okay, for example, in the pamphlet that just came with my new mask, the ComfortFull 2, there's a little graph on the back that says, "Exhaust Leak Rate (LPM) / Pressure vs. Leak Rate. I am on 8 for pressure. I look on the chart up from "8" and there's a little triangle at around 25. Is th...

Thanks, Linda! Yes, never, ever change those straps!! So far, my DME people have been great. The first guy I saw was very helpful and I was supposed to see him again today, but his first appointment was running so long (someone was out sick) that another person helped me. I've had to call him twice ...

System Leak Reading?
Okay, thanks to you guys here, I know how to get into the "restricted" data on my M Series Pro (Cflex), but I don't know how to read the System Leak data. It has L/Min. For the 7 day average, it has 48.2. (It just jumped way up after trying a new mask this afternoon). How do you read this and what's...

Proper Way to Put Masks On
I must have been asleep (ha-ha), but somewhere along the way I completely missed that there seems to be a "right" way to put on these masks, especially FF masks. (My first mask was a NAII, which obviously just sticks in your nose!). I bought a Hybrid here (cpap.com) and didn't figure it out with tha...

My insurance company gave the two closest DME's to me, Apria and Robert's Medical. I am SOOO glad I ended up with Roberts! Although Roberts is the one my sleep doc uses, they said I could use Apria if I wanted to. Having read only a little about Apria on here, I chose Roberts. Boy, am I glad I did. ...

Encore?
I'm really new to this and, after one week, still struggling between using the machine and tossing it out the window, although I'm too exhausted to toss it out the window. Anyway, regarding the Remstar M series, I know I'm showing my naivete [sp] here, but what does the Encore card reader/software s...

Chin Burning---
I don't have a rash from straps on my neck, but I just started trying to us the Hybrid (which I really like), only my chin burns when I'm wearing it! I have skin problems in that area anyway, so I'm sure that's why. (The wire things they attached to my chin at the sleep studies did the same thing, o...

Thanks everyone! And JZ, I'm sorry you had to experience this, but it's a bit of relief to know that someone else has! I know what you mean about breathing differently while using CPAP. I do plan on calling my sleep doctor and the DME guy on Monday. May even give my PCP a call, depending on what the...

Daytime Breathing Problem After Starting CPAP - Help!
Hi, everyone. New here and new to CPAP--Last night was night #4. I am more miserable since starting than I was before. The main problem is that, during the DAY, in addition to the horrible exhaustion, I feel short of breath. You know, like out of shape (which I am) people can feel when walking up a ...
