Re: CPAP and Tinnitus

I agree that your pressure is not high.....I have had tinnitus for 20 years....CPAP use for 8 years. Tinnitus symptoms have not changed during that time. I was told by my ENT that if tinnitus lasts more than a year, you will have it forever. I have had my hearing checked every few years and have no...

Re: best hose hangar?

At this moment, I am sitting next to my Hose Buddy, -poised to hold my hose up in the hospitality house affiliated with the out of town spine surgery center. Hopefully, the surgeon will be able to restore my sweet bullfrog to an able and pain-free state. Everybody pray for the Bullfrog!! Sheriff. D...

Re: head gear slides off

I use two of those computer cord straps with velcro on one end. They go from one side to the other across my head. Not sure is this is what you need.
Those that are totally velcro from one end of the strap to the other hurt.

Success and new directions thanks to several

Thanks to JDS74 and his help with that ‘Monster Mask’ the Oracle. It is actually becoming my friend! Working on some sore mouth issues. Got a nice S9 BIPAP that made my treatment so much easier from Martin...who Palerider told me about. After realizing how great the BIPAP is, I pushed my insurance t...

Re: Neck Collar

Glad to hear it... now that the hot weather in my area has abated, I'm going to try a cervical collar this coming week. I think they come in 2.5" and 3" heights, which did you buy When I bought the simple one I got the 3". Ended up having to remove (cut with scissors) some from the top curved area....

Re: Neck Collar

I have to agree. Chin straps often pull my jaw back, but the cervical collar will not do this. I splurged on a collar I found at Walgreens that is soft, yet supportive and the front area being adjustable by strings that you pull. It took me forever to stop clenching my jaw and this collar lets my lo...

Re: RhinoSinusitus (or something like that)

Paul, I was not trying to downplay your symptoms...just have a few more years in than you. I started in 2007, so my sinuses have had a LONG time in fighting back. Despite the negative aspect that seems to follow the Oracle, it is doable. What makes it work versus not work...is your attitude. I had t...

Re: RhinoSinusitus (or something like that)

My sinuses were ruining my life. They have fought my CPAP journey every step of the way. I have gone through 14 masks looking for one that would not upset them. I did not have the pain as you do, but was experiencing balance issues, dizziness and lack of focus...along with what I call a 'cotton stuf...

Re: Mask success..new mask again

OK...this is it...I have to find a way to succeed with what I have called my ‘monster’ mask. With the help of JDS74 I think it is happening. I am finding that by bypassing my sinuses all the dizziness, balance issues as well as poor focus are becoming a thing of the past. I am totally surprised at h...

Re: Mask liners in Dubai

The cotton t-shirt works great, but I found another option here...somewhere... and that is to use the super soft cleaning cloths for electronics. They do not stretch as much as the cotton and wash great...no need to iron flat.

Follow the same directions that nanwilson gave for cutting it out.

Re: Drying Equipment

Does anyone have any helpful hints on drying the hoses after cleaning? I clean them and hang them to dry but even after 8-10 hours they are still damp inside. I have my first CPAP that still blows great. I attach my hose and put the unit on. I live in humid Florida and have the same problem as you.

Re: Not CPAP, but sleep related

Back position only here. No other position possible because of back issues. So many articles come out saying one thing or another. The poor egg and coffee have been put through the wringer over the years as being so bad for us. New evidence has popped up giving proof to the contrary. Since I have no...

Re: Mask success.. Pugsy...getting there!

I spoke with Circadience and it was stressed...do not over tighten. This is way out the opposite from all I have done in the many years of CPAPing. I just had to try as my sinuses are happy...did you see that word, HAPPY!! Come on Imgur...finish that upload! It took a bit of testing (aka naps) to ge...

Re: Mask success..see my last post!

My leak rates are outrageous, but my AHI results are outstanding! Your AHI is so low because the leaks are so bad that the machine can't really tell what is or is not going on. You are so deep into large leak territory that the data you see is very likely totally inaccurate due to the machine's sen...

Re: second night..less leaks, more of everything else!

Thank you MrStein...just got an Anew Sleepweaver mask and after a week of trial and error I finally found a mask that does not care about leak levels. My leak rates are outrageous, but my AHI results are outstanding! Think I have the mask set up just right. Amazing feeling as it is also a most comfo...
