I have edited my post below to indicate that the Sleep Quality setting on
S9 machines does not affect the data recorded on the SD card. It only affects
the data available on the machine's display.

Re: Cpap.com has free shipping no minimum
If you get on cpap.com's email list, you'll be made aware of their promotions including the free
shipping promotions. Seems to be one every few months.
And they won't fill your inbox. One email every couple of weeks.

Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
I'm no expert, but I don't think that there is a way to turn of efficacy data recording to the SD card of a System One machine. On a ResMed S9 machine this can be done by setting Sleep Quality to off. Edit: After doing some research, I believe that the Sleep Quality setting only affects whether effi...

Re: Need help with my newly-acquired Resmed VPAPII ST-A
Your machine is very complex and has many more settings that a straight CPAP. I think I would start out in straight CPAP (CP) Mode . Set IPAP (inspiratory pressure) to 16. In CPAP mode this will be the pressure all of the time. If you would like the pressure to start out lower than 16 and increase o...

How about "Why my sleep study night was an awful night of sleep"?Shore Snorer wrote:I'd certainly consider changing it to something a less absolute: "could be" or "might be" instead of "will be".Julie wrote:I wonder if you'd consider changing the title of your note so it won't put off newbies before they even get started.

Re: Why your sleep study night will be an awful night of sleep
We absolutely need a much better implementation of the Polysomnogram and it's use in xPAP titration. In lab, uncomfortable, super expensive, one shot testing is resulting in way too many going without proper diagnosis and treatment. Will someone please adjust the forum reverb dial? The echo is back.

Re: ResMed S7 Lightweight free (plus shipping) to good home
FYI, this machine has no data card slot; the only data available is compliance which is displayed on the machine. http://www.resmed.com/int/assets/documents/product/s7_lightweight/patient_brochure/101978_s7-lightweight_patient-brochure_row_eng.pdf http://www.sleepdoctor.com/pdfs/S7%20Specs.pdf But s...

Judging from your avatar, maybe you should avoid using the word "behind".

You might consider VIstaril (Hydroxyzine Pamoate) as an anti-anxiety agent
that does not cause respiratory depression.

Re: Brand name confusion
Philips Respironics is the manufacturer's name. (Philips bought Respironics a few years ago.) System One is the current generation of PR machines. (The previous generation was the M-Series. Before that was what is called the Legacy or Tank machines.) There are two different series of System One mach...

Re: Hybernite 2300 review
I just dug out my Quattro FX and compared it the the Swift FX. Both ends are the same size on mine.

Re: Hybernite 2300 review
Is the end of the short hose of the Swift FX somehow different from the end of the swivel on the Quattro FX?
They should be the same diameter, and the same connector should fit on both.

Re: Help! PRS1 error folder on your machine?
I have 2 .004 files in the e folder. My machine is a late-2010 750 (BiPAP Auto). I've only
had it since mid-June, so I have no data from before that time.

Re: Traveling Case for S9
I only use it as a carry on, it will hold my travel documents, passport, kindle, medications, etc in the first inside zipper section. The further back section holds the S9 and hose etc. It's plenty cushioned and then I can roll it instead of the case that came with the S9. That bag doesn't count ag...

Re: $60 for 1 ounce of molded plastic. $960/lb.
If you don't like ResMed's price for plastic (it's silicone, by the way) then find yourself
a plastic supplier, buy an ounce, and use it with your mask.
What's that you say? It won't work?
Well, maybe, just maybe, that's why a mask cushion costs more than an ounce of plastic does.
