The biggest negative for me with the new Resmed machines is the inability to separate the humidity tank from the main unit.
Quite often, I leave my H5i at home while traveling.

Re: What does the sleep doc do long-term?
BCBS requires that I see a doctor every 6 months as part of their requirements to continue coverage of CPAP supplies, machines, etc..
So for a $25 co-pay & 30 minutes of my time, my sleep doctor takes care of documenting my usage with BCBS.
I have no issue with that...

I recently bought 3 mirage Quattro cushions sealed in original bags for $30 with free shipping.
if purchased from usual on-line sellers, they run $50 each

Re: Firmware Updates for ResMed S9 Machines
as I indicated, my back up S9 machine is essentially a zero hour machine .. it probably has about 100-200 hours of run time on it. Most of which came from use when I took it on travel. Thanks for the suggestions, but it's just fine. I have essentially a zero hour S-9 machine standing in the wings if...

Re: Did CPAP help me to lose weight?
I lost 30 pounds after being on therapy for 1 year.....
The biggest thing that changed was that I was no longer napping my life away. I was back to doing all the normal things in life... yard work, being awake for an entire movie at the theater, etc..

Re: CPAP, apnea and eyesight
I believe that needing glasses is related to a major medical symptom that is unrelated to sleep apnea or CPAP.

Re: New Sleep Study after Weight Loss?
been there done that...
I lost 30 pounds after being on therapy for a year.... The new sleep study showed almost the exact same results as the initial one did.
I have severe apnea.
FWIW - The only thing that changed was my PLM levels decreased.

Re: Airsense Software Upgrade Out Now
I've seen way too many apps & operating systems go through simple upgrades and the machines get "bricked" / inoperable as a result of that simple upgrade.
There's no way I'd allow random firmware upgrades onto my machine without being able to verify that it will continue to work once it is installed.

Re: Firmware Updates for ResMed S9 Machines
My S9 works fine for me.... I haven't seen anything in the S-10 machines or the software programs that would inspire me to want to modify my machine.
I have essentially a zero hour S-9 machine standing in the wings if my primary machine acts up.

check for changes in your diet that are causing the change
check for stress and anxiety in your life
FWIW-- After 6 months of therapy, I need 6 1/2 - 7 hours of sleep each night.
