Re: Local DME or online store?

https://verushealthcare.com/contact/ http://www.cpaptalk.com/posting.php?mode=reply&f=1&t=182178#pr1385393 I checked Verus Healthcare online, because it is listed as "in network" on my insurance company's website, but they only seem to sell the ResMed and Philips travel machines. After using my own...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Just find the Medicare providers, and determine which ones will sell you the machine you prefer. [Hint--I recommend Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset or Autoset for her] When I called my DME (not Medicare; just regular insurance), they told me that for a while now, the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset has been ...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Also, my wife (who also has a Dreamstation, lucky us) is thinking about getting a HDM Z2 as the replacement. Anyone here have experience using it as a daily driver... at least until Phillips figures things out? I have been using my Z2 regularly while I wait for my DME to get more ResMeds in stock. ...

Specify the AUTOSET or the Autoset for her.
Thanks, I'm pretty sure that's what she told me they have (not the "for her" version, just the regular), but I'll make sure.

Re: Local DME or online store?

Well, I've answered my own question by speaking with the people at my DME. They're super friendly and helpful, plus they are recommending that anyone (like me) who has a 5-year-old or older Dreamstation get the process going on replacing it, and their machine of choice these days is the ResMed, so i...

Local DME or online store?

I need to replace my recalled Dreamstation. It's 5 years old, so my insurance will cover a new one. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good reason why I should stay with my local DME rather than just looking to buy a new one online. I don't feel that the DME has done much for me, other than get me s...

Re: Using the CPAP machine is the worst, most restless sleep I've ever had. What is a permanent alternative to this arch

The having balls comment wasn't directed towards the OP...it was talking about men and women in the 40s and 50s and how they faced adversity. Actually the OP hasn't been back to the forum since he first posted his one and only post. He hasn't even seen the replies here. Thread went off topic...it h...

Re: Using the CPAP machine is the worst, most restless sleep I've ever had. What is a permanent alternative to this arch

This truck driver is obviously freaked out by the CPAP, and I can't say I blame him/her. All the talk about having balls, etc., is hardly welcoming or reassuring to someone who is uncomfortable and worried. Sure, he's complaining, but isn't this forum all about helping people? Why should this person...

Re: Best Pillow Mask for Z2 HME

I recently purchased a HDM Z2 Travel Machine and added a travel hose and battery. I like the setup so far. I haven't used HME with a travel machine but have missed it in drier climes or air conditioned rooms. I have used a Resmed P10 or Swift for many years but both have short tubes that apparently...

You done good.

Re: Z2 Auto Travel CPAP--my review

I'm wondering why the Z2 didn't push the pressure higher than 9 when it was set to a max of 11.5--maybe because their info seems to consider anything below 5 normal? I'm not sure how these things work. Different brands have different auto adjusting algorithms meaning different sets of criteria that...

Z2 Auto Travel CPAP--my review

When planning my first post-COVID trip, my anxiety about traveling kind of focused on how much I hate traveling with my Dreamstation, so I spent half a day obsessing online about finding a travel machine. I settled on the Z2. And I love it. I packed it with my regular headgear and mask (ResMed N30i)...

Re: How to diffuse the blowing from the vent

Have you looked at the ResMed AirFit N30i (nasal) or F30i (full-face)? Links follow... https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-airfit-n30i-nasal-cpap-mask https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-airfit-f30i-full-face-mask They are copies of the PR DreamWear nasal & full-face. Re: How to diffuse the blowing from the vent

I am using Dreamwear Nasal Cushions... I liked the Dreamwear mask, except for the jet-stream blast out of the vents. You might want to consider ResMed's "Diffused" venting in a comparable mask the next time you are shopping for a replacement. It's *MUCH* softer and quieter. I think the difference i...

Re: How to diffuse the blowing from the vent

Tape won't stick to silicone. Been there and tried that. Try anchoring the gauze over the vent hole with something thin you can wrap around and won't actually block the vent hole....like a bread tie or something thin and flexible but still able to hold. You won't find any tape that will stick well ...
