Re: Just about to quit cpap after a year , need advice

Sounds like you are trying to rationalise your decision to quit CPAP. You don’t need to do that as it’s your body, your choice. You owe no one here a bloody thing. Other than politeness and respect. We have enough long-term posters who seem to have lost the manners one was hopefully taught in childh...

Re: Just about to quit cpap after a year , need advice

I felt the same way at a few points. Ready to toss the bloody thing in the bin. I checked into dental appliances as a good mate has had very good success with the Somnodent (which cost him $4000 out of pocket). However, I stuck with it and with the help of a few smart folks here and on ApneaBoard fi...

Re: dry mouth

A few questions… When did you start having problems with a dry mouth? What is your humidity and hose temp set to today? What are your pressure/EPR/PS settings? Any leaks showing up on your machine or OSCAR? What meds do you take? What is your room humidity? Do you have a humidifier in the room or ho...

Yikes! Thank you for sharing that. I'm sold! My iBreeze is also a ResMed machine so it likely has a same or similar turbine.
FYI, iBreeze is made by ResVent, a Chinese company, whereas ResMed is made by an Australian company.

Re: CPAP machine filter: Necessary or just another revenue stream?

I'm new to this. Where is a good source for filters? Amazon? yup, amazon. was going to link mine, but couldn't find it. good luck! Here are the ones I use https://amzn.to/3jfinDi A slight bit thinner than the ones from Resmed, but they get the job done. At $0.16 a piece you can replace them weekly ...

Re: CPAP machine filter: Necessary or just another revenue stream?

You can get 60 filters for $10 USD on Amazon, that’s $0.16 USD per filter. If they sell a bunch they can get a coffee at *$…

It is for those people, that the "If your water is safe to drink, you can use it in your CPAP" message is important.
Summed up crisply and succinctly in a single sentence.

Re: New CPAP user (and I have FEELINGS)

Okay so did the home sleep test, Severe apnea, one night had over 50 events per hour. Get in, get a machine faster than expected (and am SUPER excited about it). Used it for the first time last night and... Now I feel my entire sinus, throat, and what I assume must be my airway and lungs? Like, my ...

Re: Scars1978 Sleep Journey

You are doing really well for just starting. Well done! I can’t help with the divination of your graphs, but others qualified will jump in as needed. Regarding the dry nose and mouth, it happens to many of us regardless of the weather. Any idea what the humidity in your sleep space is currently? Hav...

Re: What machine to get?? HELP ASAP

Something to consider is contacting the Reggie White Foundation for assistance with getting a CPAP. Many of us have donated equipment to them, which they make available as best they can to those who need help acquiring a machine.

Check ChatGPT. It can answer many questions and obviate the need for many new threads/topics.
Did you not just post about concerns over PHI and yet here you are suggesting using ChatGPT? You cannot have it both ways.
