Re: Pray for Mike
In case anyone is struggling and doubting the benefits of good cpap therapy, I'm here to tell you that the difference in how Mike felt today after a good 9hr sleep with his machine and only 1 bathroom break is really amazing. I had almost forgotten myself the pre-cpap days and how bad it really was...

Re: S9 Autoset or RemStar Auto?
Thank you to all 3 of you for the feedback. I had searched but not found the previous thread (which cowlypso sent) - thank you. The problem posed by avi23 is interesting... I would not not have anticipated the autopap "causing" more central apneas by pressure increase. I don't feel like my sleep doc...

S9 Autoset or RemStar Auto?
I would like to purchase a new machine to replace my current "brick." I know that the 2 machines above are both fully data capable, which is what I am looking for. I am currently using cpap at 14 pressure setting but would like the option to auto titrate. With my current "brick" I have no idea how I...

Re: Air travel
I just flew to the UK and back and had no problems. I brought my machine in its carrying case as an extra carry-on (it doesn't count since it is medical equipment). The TSA website says that you must remove your machine from it's case and put it in a bin to go through the xray machines; they did not...

aerophagia question/symptoms
Does this sound like aerophagia to anyone? I have had soreness/discomfort in my upper chest area on 2 separate days recently (after 2 months of CPAP use). On the first occasion, I felt the soreness as I turned over in bed in the morning before I even woke up. Yesterday I went to E/R for full workup,...

Re: 25 Year old Having Issues
Hi Josh, I have the same mask and tightened it too much the first few days and was waking up with headaches. Now I make sure that I can still easily slip a finger in between the straps and my head. Assuming you had the mask fitted properly and the dial is all the way out, I find that attaching the c...

Re: requesting new data-capable machine
I wish you luck trying to get a new machine. Take a look at my blogpost about this http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/2011/05/17/help-i%e2%80%99m-stuck-with-a-brick/ and let me know if it helps you at all. Thank you, I had already read your blogpost over a month ago, unfortunately AFTER I was already...

requesting new data-capable machine
I have become VERY informed about cpap in the short time I have been reading this forum. Of course, like so many I knew nothing at the beginning (2 months ago) and was given an entry level cpap machine (Remstar DS150) that records compliance data only -- I was not even consulted about what machine I...
