Pulumonary Specialist decreased my Ambien
and I feel like crap after being decreased from 10MG to 5MG. I tried it for three days and have been getting little to no sleep with the CPAP mask on. I ended up taking two 5MG halfs last night and felt better again, feeling I got enough sleep. My PCP prescribed me the Ambien because I have a hard t...

Re: New to this. . .
I seen the nurse practitoner today who's prescribed the therapy. As I'm near the end of the 90 day cycle, she stressed that I need to get the hours in. So, that's what I'm doing now. She also suggested that I could get a pillow that is better suitable for CPAP therapy. I just reviewed the prices now...

Okay I'll cut the water down to 1/4 filled, that'll be enough. I *did* notice that half a tub is a bit much, and I don't need the water police knocking at my door.

Re: The Dark Side and Downsides of Melatonin
Interesting to read the article that backed up a theory of mine. My body/brain became immune to the Melatonin brand that Costco Wholesale sells, and pretty much immune to the fast disolve I bought at Wal-Greens. I was using Melatonin to "correct my sleep pattern" back when I was trying to go from go...

Re: New to this. . .
I'm definiteley noticing a difference in breathing even after taking the mask off, my throat feels more open. I have an appointment with the Pulumonary specialist this Monday to talk about my therapy so far. My DME did tell me last week that I should start wearing the mask while awake, along with tr...

Re: New to this. . .
I use Seventh Avenue dish soap for the cleaning. It was my DME that gave sanitization instructions as well as cleaning. Pugsy, I just assumed Medicare covered Respironics only, since my DME provider (Lincare) only has supplied me with said brand in both the nasal and full face mask. They do have the...

Re: New to this. . .
I got cleaning instructions about sanitizing after cleaning, one part white vinegar and three parts water. Math isn't my specialty, but I'm assuming a half of a kitchen tub of water and a 1/4 of the vinegar would be enough? Also one other question: does Medicare only cover Respironics masks or do th...

New to this. . .
On November 28th, I brought home my CPAP machine and thought to myself "piece of cake, I got this." It has not been a piece of cake, I had a nasal mask but it was a challenge to breath only through my nose due to how my nose and throat developed due to my chromosome disorder. Luckily my health provi...
