Re: Travel advice - airlines.

My key advice is, "WHEELS". My carryon has wheels. My cpap case has a strap on the back; it sits on top, hugging the handle of the wheelie. My wallet, and other important stuff is in a fanny pack. A picture please as I am contemplating a similar set up for my UK trip next year. My current carry on ...

Re: SOOOO many masks and I am so confused...HELP PELASE

I'm also a mouth breather but use a nasal mask. You can train yourself to breathe through your nose and there are threads on this forum that tell you how to do it. It took a bit of time but this now works for me. To aid this I use a soft cervical collar which prevents chin droop and helps to keep th...

Re: BiPAP working but not working?

You have the same machine as me and it is excellent. That said, BiPAP does have its vagaries and the only way to discover if you have covered all the bases is to post your Sleepyhead charts. I moved myself onto BiPAP over a year ago and it is only recently that I am experiencing the full benefits of...

Re: Technical differences between CPAP and travel CPAP?

My understanding, if you have the installation disk, is that you can make the changes yourself.

I have the Transcend travel CPAP. It's a great little machine, nice and quiet. There's no display panel, but that isn't a problem to me.
So how do you make changes to your settings? I believe you have to plug the machine into your PC.

....and I'm another convert to the Bilevel/BiPAP brigade. After I got the 760 my numbers and the way I felt improved significantly. Changing to the Aircurve 10 VAUTO made an even bigger improvement, especially in comfort levels. I don't really need a BiPAP/BiLevel but if it makes an improvement then...

Re: In need of educational material on ResMed Vauto

Two points from PRs previous post. He mentioned the trigger setting in a different thread and I decided to investigate to see if this also worked for me. I changed mine to 'very sensitive' and it certainly did though it may not work for others. I also raised my Ti Max from the default 2.0 to 2.4 bec...

Re: Success with Dr. Dakota Collar Device

Thank you Chicago Granny The items I wish to try are sold in the US. On July 1, the (expletive greedy) Australian government decided to charge sales tax on all goods, including those from overseas. The whole purpose of this misguided legislation is to try and get Australians to purchase from Austral...

Re: Success with Dr. Dakota Collar Device

Before this thread I'd never heard of a firm cervical collar apart from the ones that you use to support a patients head after a possible spinal injury. I can't see those being very good to wear for any length of time. I don't think you read carefully . One of the reasons I use a firm foam cervical...

Re: Success with Dr. Dakota Collar Device

I just ordered one from the Dr. Dakota website (https://snoringstopbydrdakota.com/) and am looking forward to trying it. I don't know how many things I have tried to keep my mouth closed while sleeping - this is the latest in my efforts. One comment about Jason's YouTube video: I think he misses th...

Re: Still having problems with nasal congestion

I can relate to the twisting of the neck being a problem doing nasal rinses. Managed to do it for a while when it was really needed. Been seeing a product advertised on late night TV called Navage that gives a rinse where one doesn't have to contort to use it. Can't speak for or against it but it s...

Re: Time to upgrade from S9 VPAP Auto - technical questions

I upgraded from the S9 VPAP to the Aircurve mainly to have a back up machine with the same algorithm. I wasn't expecting any changes but I saw a significant improvement using the Aircurve. I also thought that the differences between the two machines were basically cosmetic with the a couple of minor...
