Re: Sound of breathing going through machine. Is it common?
I just read your post about your worry. about suffocating if the power goes out..after reading this one, I think much of your problem is anxiety. See your doctor. I agree, just responded to your post about suffocating. You are worried about this whole CPAP thing. Can you talk to your doctor about i...

Re: Sound of breathing going through machine. Is it common?
I've never noticed that in the morning, but I do notice something like that when I first turn it on. I could be totally wrong on this - but I am under the impression that you need to relax and breathe and that the first few minutes allows the machine to get in sync with your breathing pattern. Writi...

Re: Suffocation with machine off??!!
I've woken up in the morning a few times, reached over to turn my machine off....and it turned ON. I'd been sleeping with it off! No idea. Looking at data, I'd slept the whole night with it off (zero hours usage) or got up maybe to use the bathroom, put the mask back on, and never turned the machine...

Re: Has anyone tried a light box/light therapy to regulate sleeping hours?
The main and most welcome side effect for me is that I now wake up easily in the morning, opposite of my entire life. Has seriously changed my biological clock. The box is 10,000 lux, but that is at 15 cm, (which is a bit under 6 inches, for people who use inches), but I figure, since that's the ca...

Re: Has anyone tried a light box/light therapy to regulate sleeping hours?
"Happy Light" by Verilux Is it one of the current models? https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Happy+Light%22+by+Verilux&ref=nb_sb_noss My problem is waking up at four or five after going to bed at 11:00. I could do much better with 7 hours of sleep. I do have the Model # VT-20 that I bought as a "portable" ...

Re: Has anyone tried a light box/light therapy to regulate sleeping hours?
Yes! I've been using a light box for about 4 years. Suggested by my doc for depression, as it "may help and certainly won't hurt", as an adjunct. As I get desperate when I'm going thru a depressive episode, I was willing to try. When I use it (about 6 months a year), I have it set up on the kitchen ...

Re: Airtouch F20 and liners and leaks
Are you using the liners to try to prevent leaks? The foam should be "pretty good" at avoiding leaks since it adjusts to the nooks & crannies of your face. How often are you changing the mask - monthly? Or are you the competitive sort, and are shooting for a record? Bragging rights are "sometimes" ...

Re: Facial Redness
The other reason to not go with AirTouch is that the foam may feel too hot against the skin as compared with silicone. I tend to wear my silicone masks way past their suggested expiry date, so AirTouch would be out of the question with regards to durability for me. And Karen (pad-a-cheek on this ve...

Re: I keep taking the mask off at night unconsciously. How to stop it?
Couple things to try: 1) Put adhesive tape on your cheeks over the strap of the headgear so when you try to take it off it, the tape pulling on your cheek will annoy you and wake you up 2) If your hair is long enough, put a hair clip or bobby pin over the strap and just like the tape suggestion, it ...

Re: Chris8243 Therapy Thread
Hi Chris, I had a lot of issues with mask leaking as I am at higher pressures (15-20). The best i found was the Fisher and Paykel Vitera. I get very little leaks and it stays quite stable when tossing and turning. Not sure if this will help you but thought I would share my experiences. Good luck ge...

Re: Chris8243 Therapy Thread
this may be tough to actually do, but try not looking at the clock. take it out of the room if you can. the stress i can't begin to comment upon. i'm lucky enough to sleep at night and not have the stress monster. have you considered a nasal pillow mask like the P10? less area to leak from. No cloc...

Someone on the forum sells liners: called Pad-A-Cheek. Super nice gal, good quality stuff and all washable/reusable. www.padacheek.com
