Almost every person that wears the cpap mask has gone thru your experience. I remember thinking the same thing. It seems you are probably going to need the full-face mask, due to your mouth breathing. I keep my mouth open all night, because like you, I have nasal issues. Ask for the Resmed F20 mask....

For me..... they do not. My leak rates are high. But I use the Philips Total Mask and the mask leaves red marks on my cheeks. But I love the comfort the liners provide. See if your insurance will approve a home study.... if so... what brand. I'm thinking the home sleep study won't be as accurate, but good enough to tell you if you have apnea or not.

I used Apria (Crapria) for years. They are a bad nightmare. When I went on medicare, I switched to Aeroflow, and I am very pleased with their service.

I was falling asleep in strange places. I was getting my sleep but wasn't feeling rested. Yes, all that went away. I also lost a bunch of weight, felt better during the day and my blood pressure and A1C dropped. I felt healthier after starting cpap therapy. Good luck to you.
