Re: Getting official medical help with osa and sp02 levels?
Post a copy of your Sleep Study and your typical nightly Sleepyhead charts. The best advice is given from knowledge and not ignorance. Specialist come into play more when you have issues that you cannot address. To tell or not, the truth usually works, especially when you can demonstrate both knowle...

Re: Is it necessary to replace the humidair and heated tub?
They lied.
Do agree to get enough stuff, mask, replacement cushions, Humidifier tank, Hose, headgear, filters so that you have a bag of spares that you can instantly replace a broken piece in the unlikely event that something should break.

OSCR - Open Source CPAP Reviewer
There is a group of developers from the Apnea Community, comprised of some of the same individuals that have contributed to previous versions of Sleepyhead and some that have not, including individuals from multiple forums and multiple nationalities, working on developing a fork of Sleepyhead 1.1.0....

Re: Confused on what product/model I need
Based on that portion of the study the VAuto seems very appropriate and I love mine. The low desats and the reference to timed make me think we may not have the full story. Ask your doctor for clarification.

Re: Confused on what product/model I need
We don't know what the doctor was thinking or the direction he intends to go. Can you post a redacted copy of the sleep study? a full copy and not just a summary. I would especially want to see what your event mix actually was. He put you on supplemental oxygen I'm sure because your Desats were low ...

You have no idea how much I hate this Bullshit Bruce. We are preparing a Fork to place in the Public arena. T correctly do that certain modifications are required to occur. Re: New Problem
You said "2 nights ago , i woke up and my heart was beating super fast and it took atleast 15 minutes to finally slow down, i almost called 911" That told me likely heart issues and they may be serious. If you can't see your doctor go to your emergency clinic. If you have someone that can drive you ...

Re: Borrowed friend's machine. Can anyone interpret Sleepy Head data?
Pugsy pretty much nailed it. There is a strong chance that you do have Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I'm assuming that you have insurance, Consider having your doctor refer you to a Sleep Clinic for diagnostic evaluation, Tell him you tried a CPAP and had events and ask if that study could be a Split Stu...

Re: questionsabout complex sleep apnea
I would classify your apnea as Complex Apnea because you stated that you have Complex Apnea which means in your case having both obstructive and central apneas. Palerider cited the common defined cause but you described yourself as "born with central sleep apnea" which implies that your Central Apne...

Re: Sleepyhead shutting down?
There is no one in the Sleep Apnea Comunity that wants to "harm" Sleepyhead or Mark. Sleepyhead is a phenomenal product that has helped many thousands of people around the world. I applaud Mark for the tremendous effort he has put forth over the last eight years. What happened to Trigger Marks lates...

Re: CPAP without a presription
Realize one thing with this approach, We can definitely say you have apnea because you have events occurring during sleep. or We can say you are being well treated at low pressures. These machines always supply a minimum pressure that would splint open your airway so. . . If no events occur we canno...

Re: Good sleep oxygen oxymeter?
I would suggest an oximeter that is compatible with Sleepyhead Pulse Oximeters are medical devices used to measure blood oxygen saturation. During extended Apnea events and abnormal breathing patterns, blood oxygen saturation levels can drop significantly, and can indicate issues that need medical a...
