Re: Missed Compliance by One Day
What happens after you get past the compliance period and they have paid for the device? BCBS has paid, but, how do they confirm that you still use it regularly? I am hooked in with ResMed Myair, but, how do they know this? They are still paying for my supplies. How do they confirm my continued comp...

Re: Will we ever adjust?
UPDATE:
My ResMed Air rep just returned my call and said that the graphs are available, but, the only way that I can read them is to take the SD card to my dealer and have them read it. I can't see that happening. Are there other options?

Re: Will we ever adjust?
I appreciate that info Pugsy. Please let me confirm. Are you saying that My Air Sense 10 machine has a snore graph? Must I download it through a program like SleepyHead program? I have searched and can find no graph info. Just basic info with a smiley face for seal, etc. I am registered with ResMed ...

Re: Heightened Smell / Smelling Bad Things
I have had odd smelling issues too, though, not feet. I mentioned it to my doctor and there seems to be no real problem. It seems to run in my family. Of course, I don't have headaches, dizziness, or other troubling symptoms. I have researched this odd phenomena online and there are many people who ...

Re: Will we ever adjust?
Can someone advise IF there is snoring while using cpap, will there be indicators on the nightly results, such as Events, leak in seal, etc. OR would it not show up on info and only be detected by sound?

Re: CPAP Use Decreases Nocturia in Patients with SDB
Don't all people with apnea have Nocturia? I had it twice. Once when I was drinking enormous amounts of liquid due to Type I diabetes. (Got on insulin and that stopped.) The next time was just before I had my sleep study done. It was really my main symptom, as I normally felt rested in the morning, ...

Re: New User 2nd post
I noticed your thread and wanted to encourage you to press on. There are a lot of experienced people on this site, so, I'd take their suggestions and continue to work towards compliance. I'd be careful to not turn the cpap off? Doesn't your insurance have a requirement that you use it for a minimum ...

Re: Gel pad for nasal mask
I'm curious to what you find out. I too use the Nuance Gel pillows and the gel strap. It marks my face and I've never been impressed with that gel in the face strap. I've really considered getting something to put over the plastic gel part. I don't wear mine tight at all, but still get marks that I ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed Yesterday (still sinking in)
Gregoryjames, This site is a great place to come for info, support, tips, etc. There are many experienced users here who can really give you some things to check out. I'm not in that category yet. What I can share is how I can relate to how you were surprised with your diagnosis. I was not a typical...

Re: Machine Placement
Great. I've considered a new bed and furniture sometime this year, but, am hesitant to change anything. Even if I do get new bed and nightstand, I'll keep that table, just in case. Although, when I've used my cpap when away from home, I did okay overnight. Still prefer my setup though. Seriously, I ...

Re: off topic but any one has experience with insulin pump?
I have considered a pump and actually attended multiple classes, seminars on them. The little needle that you insert in your skin is normally inserted in the abdominal area and changed every 2-3 days. If you qualify to get one, they will send you to classes on its operation and maintenance. After mu...

Re: Machine Placement
I was curious to see how others handle placement and was a little surprised that it's supposed to be placed so low by the bed. Mine is app. 5 inches higher than my mattress on a little bedside table. I have had no issues with the machine. Should I make a change? I hate to fix it, if isn't broken.

Moreorless, I saw your post and wanted to respond, since, I'm also a Type I diabetic and have suffered some highs and lows. First of all, it's great you are getting treatment for your sleeping issues. Good rest, will help with your blood sugar control. There are some good links provided upthread . I...

Re: Horror Stories Pre- Apnea Diagnosis
Help me understand something. When you say 'APNEAS continued' do you mean while you were using CPAP? If you still were having apneas, I don't get how your AHI could be excellent. I'm missing something...? Probably. Of course you can still have Apneas after you start therapy.......and for a variety ...
