Activa and pressure setting
Hi, if my autopap is set very low (6) and I use an Activa, can it be effective? The cushion doesn't seem to expand very much at all, or rather does seem to flatten (stomach/side sleeping) as soon as I lie down after putting it on - and it does fill when I put it on, but do I need a much higher setti...

Dreamweaver - what you are seeing is common in certain very serious events where people who 'die' will see themselves exactly in the way you describe, and then 'return' to their bodies when they are brought back either by CPR, or defibrillation, etc. It is NOT a 'spiritual' thing at all, but a recog...

Card reader trouble
I have a copy of Encore Pro, My Encore and the DT3500 card reader. Well, I got all set up, only to find that my old PC (I now use a Mac) would not accept the programs beyond installation, so my husband said he'd put the programs on his PC. He installed the 2 E. programs (card reader last, via usb), ...

2 mo. old baby girl
Hi, I'm a little concerned about the route you're taking with your baby. A used machine from a friend, a new MD when you arrange it, etc. Why aren't you taking her directly to a hospital right away to make sure there are no urgent problems, possibly neurological, or respiratory, that may only incide...

The c-flex feature is one that will adapt to your breathing pattern in such a way as to make exhaling easier, as some people have difficulty dealing with that.

New to Cpap
Hi, I'm in N.S. and have been using a Remstar auto x 2 yrs. It seems to be the most 'popular' and reliable machine around. I disagree that you 'have' to have the humidifier, but that's probably because we're surrounded by water here(!), but I would certainly be sure I got a machine with it, whether ...

Hi, you may have a problem called thoracic outlet syndrome, where a small rib compresses your thoracic nerve, sometimes causing cold and blueness in your arm. It's not uncommon, doesn't really signify anything serious, many people never realize they have it, but it could be a problem for sleeping th...

Frustration getting Smart card reader!
Hi, I registered at the Hong Kong website that sells the Mako 3500 sliding SCR for $24.00. I logged in, told it to 'buy' 1 reader, and then it took me back to the login pg. I logged in again, but instead of taking me anywhere to complete the transaction, it just took me back to the pg of readers. I'...

Hi, where I live (NE), we've suddenly gotten 'winter' in the past few wks (thought we might get away without it (''). I think the air pressure is different now, and that could have an effect on your Cpap experience ... at least I think it might. Anyone else? _________________ CPAPopedia Keyword...
