Re: can't find my fixed pressure, varied results (positional?)
First, I agree with Pugsy about those close-ups of the CAs: Three of the four are clear post-arousal events and the fourth one might be. Thank you so much for your time and such detailed response. I am sorry for not being clear enough. 1- Aerophagia was a problem before I started using MAD. 2- All t...

Re: Suvorexant (Belsomra) - "Sleeping Pill" - Stops Alzheimer's
I took Belsomra (brand name for Suvorexant) from the time it first became available almost daily right until I ran out of pills about a month or two after the pandemic closed everything down here in NYS in March 2020. I was unable to see the sleep doc who had prescribed it, and at the time my insura...

Re: Aerophagia and bievel machine
Zonker, I want to synopsize your settings and your 95% levels. Here are the settings you have been using: Max Ipap 25 Min Epap 11.4 Ps 4 Ti max 2.0s Ti min 0.3s Trigger very high Cycle med Your 95% IPAP (pressure in Oscar) for the last few days are 15.82 16.14 and 17.00, but you have hit 20cm a coup...

Re: "Odd" Waveform?
There is an interesting relationship between the expiratory unspike (downward spike) in flow and the pressure waveform: https://i.imgur.com/GsCH1t7.jpg The drop to EPAP overshoots the baseline of 10 cmH2O, causes a pressure bounce and results in a positive fluctuation of about 0.5 cmH2O. IMO the ex...

Re: What happened to me here? CA's back to back
Only been with my APAP for a little under the week. Only diagnosed with OSA 24.5 but on the 22nd had an awful OSCAR report. Just wondering for some insight on what happened this night? Had a bunch CA back to back and then a few random ones later in the night. Should I be concerned? hasn't happened ...

Re: "Odd" Waveform?
Rubicon poses this teaser of a question: Is this wave form perhaps indicative of palatal prolapse? Most definitely maybe probably. Interestingly, there is another image posted on TOF by someone who is also a member of TF: https://i.imgur.com/WVlN4H8.jpg Whadya think? Once again, we have no leak data...

Re: Aerophagia and bievel machine
Zonker, What's your 95% IPAP these days? Because if the problem is high IPAP triggering the aerophagia, lowering the min EPAP might not actually give you much of a benefit. groovy, now the forum is bombing out on me. let's see how many times i can post my response. having trouble find 95% IP...

Re: can't find my fixed pressure, varied results (positional?)
After watching lankylefty27's videos, I find myself here. I have had set my machine to 4-20 too long. had incredible painful aerophagia when I could sleep for even 1-2 hours with it. I need some clarification: Did you get the incredible painful aerophagia when the machine was set at 4-20? Or did yo...

Re: One week update. Not great. :(
Since there are soooo many mask choices, any that seem to do better for side sleepers? My current one shifts and leaks. I sleep on my side most of the time, and I go back and forth between the Resmed Swift FX nasal pillow mask and the Resmed P10 nasal pillow mask. With both masks I find that I get ...

Re: Mask seal vs leak
Hello, I’ve just started using a cpap of being diagnosed with OSA with an ahi of 28, and an rdi of 30. I’ve been using the cpap for the last 4 days and one thing that is confusing me is every night the mask seal is a green smiley face, but my leak is around 26-30L/min. From what I’ve been reading t...

Re: Aerophagia and bievel machine
first, the question then i'll blither on about details. i've fought and defeated aerophagia on my apap by using a method that dogslobber dubbed the zonker protocol. i dialed my min pressure way down until i found the level at which no aerophagia appeared. i then slowly over the course of weeks rais...

Re: "Odd" Waveform?
How significant are the occasional snores scored during the "odd wave flow" breathing? If you sleep through them, I'd say they're academic. If they create tons of arousals, get the stent or the scalpel. And I'll hazard a wild guess: Is it possible this "odd wave flow" might be tied to some very, ve...

Re: "Odd" Waveform?
Emphysema? I don't have emphysema. Or asthma. Or any breathing disorder that I know of beyond OSA and seasonal allergies. Could the answer be seasonal allergies? Cause they've kicked in big time this spring and I'm dealing with a lot of congestion and I'm not taking zyrtec or doing the saline sinus...
