Re: The Flight Attendant from Hell

NOt certain if this patient was taking Nexiuim and simply did not have it or had not taken them and someone decided he needed one for his GI distress. Nexium and the others are not for immediate relief. They take several days to start their action. This is where immediate acting antacids are indicat...

Re: Disinfecting equip... MRSA?

Just curious,
If you are in contact with this person, do you sterilize his car?
home?
every thing in your home every time he is there?

And what even if the MRSA happened to get into the tank.
No way it could spread.

Just curious

Re: bactaria in water tank?

Hosecrusher< You are simply wrong in your conclusions or observations. .Heated water from a tank can indeed produce distilled water, whether pure or saline in the tank. It is called rainout here.. There is no salt in this distilled water. tHE only way would be some physical shaking or something simi...

Hosecrusher wrote: I was told that only water vapor is released from my humidifier. When I tested it I found that water droplets (and salt) are also coming out. Congratulations Hose crusher. Re: bactaria in water tank?

Interesting theoory, but when you add a solute to water and disrill it, only water vapor comes out. Salt does not attach to the water vapor. You may be confusing the salt water at the ocean in the air and the smell.. This is apples and oranges. The salt in the ocean mist is due to water droplets bei...

Re: bactaria in water tank?

hosecrusher,
This is interesting.
Would you please describe your setup for testing and those things that you determined came up the hose from the tank.
Pardon me for being a skeptic, but this is my nature.

Re: bactaria in water tank?

Just curious. Why is there such a great concern with bacteria in the water tank? It would be very rare anyway to have some that would be pathogenic. Even if there were some present, there is no danger here. It is well established that bacteria CANNOT get from the tank to the lungs. They are simply t...

Re: Belly full of air?

do a search on aerophagia. This has about a zillion posts. It is simply ingested AIR, not metabolic smelly gas from metabolism. Sometimes is is worse than others, but not a problem with most. It is NOT relieved by antigas products such as mylanta and beano and the simethicone products. Many calim it...

Re: OT: Why Do People Reject Science

Mr Bill, Yours is an excellent explanation on how many think and how some are unequipped to think and are happy for others to do this for them. Nothing takes the place of pure reason and logic in addition to lots of expertise in formulating a cogent position. But far too many ignore this and opine a...

Re: What is your favoriets camera?

The problem with a question like this is that most people are familiar with ONLY their cameras/ The best place to ask this is at a camera shop to a person who knows much more than most here. Also, most here with a camera less than a couple of years will not be aware of the new bells and whistles in ...

Re: OT: Why Do People Reject Science

I have been interested in GW for many years and read all I can on the subject. As mentioned before, most people are not educated enough to make a rational opinion. So they rely on others to do their thinking for them. To rely on experts is troubling, it depends on WHICH expert you rely on. Recently,...

Re: OT: Why Do People Reject Science

Many people are ideologically driven and follow their heroes. They simply believe what they want to believe. When a person truly believes that a flood covered the entire earth during a time man could build a huge boat and communicate with language, then there is no limit to what that person can be l...
