Re: Dreamwear full face mask - sounds and leaks
I'm using the Resmed S9 autoset. I tried to update my equipment and added it to my text info with pressure settings. But none of that seems to be posting. I do have the cloth wraps. I had not added those yet. I will do that in a moment. Not sure why I didn't do that when I switched the to the smalle...

Re: Dreamwear full face mask - sounds and leaks
I happen to be sitting in bed, so I just checked. When my ears plugged, I do not hear any difference with inhale vs exhale. Without them plugged, I always hear the inhale. If I stop mid-inhsle, the noise stops. So only as I inhale.

Re: A CRY FOR HELP, Is this only sleep apnea
I would definitely see about going to a neurologist. I have been having balance issues for several months. I went the ENT. He couldn't find anything. So he sent me for vestibular testing. Results were borderline abnormal, but ruled out the basic stuff. She he ordered s brain MRI. Small white spots t...

Dreamwear full face mask - sounds and leaks
I finally managed to logged back in after being sidetracked, then having multiple computer issues. So I got a new mask, and I like it. But I have a couple issues that are making it harder to fall asleep. First is a leak issue. If my mouth is open, no leaks. But when I close my mouth or do something ...

Re: Still Need CPAP?
Keep in mind that the ahi reported is what the machine failed to prevent. It can never show you what it might have been without treatement. For example, my sleep study was a split night study with an ahi of 79. I never reached REM and barely slept on my back. It's pretty good odds that my real untre...

Re: Covid-19 CPAP Heated Tubing Temp
It’s too bad there are a few people on this forum that don’t have medical knowledge and are quick to shoot down ideas that are plausible. If you knew anything about the human body, you would know that the temperature in the sinus cavity and bronchi to the lungs is much lower than in your blood. Ima...

Re: Are there any good sleep doctors/clinics?
I got really lucky. My sleep doctor has sleep apnea himself, so he totally understands how it feels, how hard it can be to get used to the machine, etc. he only prescribes full data, auto machines. And he reviews the actual data, not just the compliance and ahi. He is also a headache doctor, and I h...

Re: Ready to quit CPAP
Because of the number of episodes I have per hour, the professor wants me at 20 I have been studied in a lab overnight twice. I started at 15, moved to 16, then to 17. Auto is disabled, as is ramp up. Can you post your sleep study results (with personal info blacked out)? And can you post some of y...

Re: It keeps me Awake
Here folks, I made a video of my machine - https://www.vidlii.com/watch?v=_et8ZkEJ47M If Possible, I have the SD Card Out of the Machine, if anyone can tell me where to find the setting for the pressure on the machine and I will take a screenshot and put it up here. Step 1, learn to read. Step 2. R...

Re: Chipmunk cheeks with full face mask
I'm confused. I thought you were breathing through your mouth? If so, the air should be leaving your mouth. In my case, when the pressure is too high and my mouth is open too much, my cheeks will flap in the wind, and that is what bothers me. But I don't have any problem with the air building up sin...

Re: Chipmunk cheeks with full face mask
I think they just have the pressure set too high, and for whatever reason they think it needs to be that high when I’ve Told them before they are suffocating me with air. The mask is a F&P Simplus Full Face Mask and I make it as tight as I was told to make it when I first got it. I think people are...

Re: Smartwater substitute during covid-19
My thing with tap water, is it's all good so long as it's ok to drink. The only down side, is some "Tap water" can be rather stinky when you put it in a humidifier, but that's not going to hurt you really. I've stayed at a friends place that used city water and it smelled like dirt. Tasted ok, litl...

Re: Smartwater substitute during covid-19
I'm not trying to be a pessimist but you ever watch people even recently in grocery stores?? Touching there faces, coughing, sneezing, etc. I don't think even being careful with how virulent and infectious this stuff is we really have any chance of keeping places clean and virus free. This is just my ...

Re: OT: Quarantine supplies
In the meantime....there are ways of cleaning our bottoms that don't mean using toilet paper. Not what we might want to do but it can be done....and that's what I told her. I was out of town when it hit the news about toilet paper outages, fighting, etc. I had two huge packages before I left, so I ...

Re: OT: Quarantine supplies
I am well supplied, but mostly because I tend to stock up when there is a good sale. A couple months ago, I needed hand soap. The big refill bottles were on sale, buy two get one free. Well, I will eventually use it, so I bought 3 bottles. Pantry is well stocked with canned goods, boxed, stuff, etc....
