Re: AEIO Med mask

:D Hi Joannie! Great to see you! Oh, the beloved Aura, Headrest! Not to mention rested gal who taught us how to deconstruct the headgear and use it the mask with panty hose tights! Unfortunately, the links to those images are not longer available. I miss RG.... Any one who still has the headgear par...

Re: Help with Oscar

Back with the charts from the last few days. Pressure is changed by the provider to 7-11. I don't wake up alarmed and I sweat less or nothing at all. Was that related to adrenaline or that my heart was working at turbo speed? I feel a bit more tired during the day but it may have to be related to t...

Re: New machine, doubled AHI - what could be cause?

No sense in making many changes at once.
Stick to the changes you made, and see what happens.

If I understant correctoy, you made 3 changes:
Improved the leaks, took melatonin, slept in a different position.

Re: Help required to reduce AHI and Aerophagia

One last question (for now!) - sometimes when I put my mask on and can't sleep, my AHI score can get extremely high even though I'm awake. Is this normal or is there any explanation for this? Here's a link to a graph from a night recently when I just couldn't get to sleep and my AHI score was 14.1 ...

Re: New machine, doubled AHI - what could be cause?

I had to update my version of Oscar to get it to read the data from the new 11 machine, but I finally got it to work. Comparing the settings, the only differences are: Ramp auto rather than a set time of 25 minutes, EPR level is 3 instead of 2, Climate is auto rather than manual. The last 30 days o...

Re: Help dialing in settings

I know LL doesn't like EPR (or auto settings). I don't fully understand why. True, for a small number of people, EPR can increase the number of CAs, but often those CAs are happening after arousal breathing, and it's the arousal, not the CA itself, that's problematic. What is true for a small numbe...

Re: Newbie and confused.

I can you tell from personal experience that the F30 has an excellent diffuser and does not blow cold air anywhere. Ask your suppliers about a diffuser for the F30i Isn't the only difference between the F30 and F30i that the hose attachment on the i rests on the head? No. Thanks, but not sure thoug...

Re: BiPap - Severe bloating no matter what I do

This is not the first time I've seen this happen... typically folks wake up with the mask off and wonder why? When we get a look at the graph we see... the machine decided *no soup for you*. Let us know how it goes, glad to help. I use AutoStart on my AS10. It turns the machine on when I start brea...

Re: Newbie and confused.

Welcome to the forum bran. I do question a few things though. How is it possible to record any "events" in 55 minutes when you have not been asleep at all and then they state you had 10.9 events plus during that time when I was fiddling around with the mask, as air was escaping and again during that...

Re: Has anyone experienced air in their scalp

No need to post in two threads. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t188083/Feeling-of-fluid-on-my-scalp.html I did have a meningitis tumour removed 20 years ago so there was some work done on my head..,maybe that helps explain it? I find it makes me anxious…I just want to know what it is and that it...

Starting four nights ago I replaced my aging AirSense 10 Autoset with the newer 11.
.
I do have a new mask, and maybe that has helped my seal, but it is the same model (the F20) I've been using for ages.
4 days, new mask - how about running for 4 days with the old mask and no other changes?

Re: Worrying session last night - hypopneas increased tenfold!

Did you notice the tremendous difference in your leak rate? The leak - and pressure - grew at the end of the night of 20th, and are much higher on all of the 21st, than they on most of the hours of the 21st. I'd check all the connections in the system - humidifier seal, hose all mask parts, filter d...

Re: Help with Oscar

Thank you for your answer. I can't think of a reason why I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night. That's not my usual sleep pattern. Nevertherless I feel all-right. That's great. Does it also mean you were not alarmed or sweaty when you woke up? Yesterday I made an appointment with my family ...

Re: Help with Oscar

How do you feel today? How did you feel with the higher pressures? Do you know what woke you up? What kind of waking was it? About the humidifier: Do you mean you have no humidifier? Or do you mean you don't put water in it? Do you have a heated hose ("Climateline")? Temp. of 27 and humidifier at 4 ...

Re: AirCurve 10 bilevel vs Airsense 10

Very good points by NoOnesPerfect except for one. To make your settings similar to the aircurve, you would need to increase the minimum pressure to 11 on the airsense (the 3 EPR would create a minimum exhale pressure of 8, just like on the aircurve). To get a maximum 16 exhale pressure on the airsen...
