Re: Airsense 10 minimum pressure being reset by other than me?

5 is actually crap, it's like being poked with a sharp stick every 12 minutes. In fairness to the breadth of opinions expressed here, I can't absolutely say this is true for everyone. My pre-CPAP numbers were >40 AHI. Yet I felt great - slept all night, and didn't run out of gas during the day. Obv...

Re: Airsense 10 minimum pressure being reset by other than me?

They can do that remotely. Change it back, would be my advice. If they mess with it again, have a conversation with them. Try to be collaborative with them; e.g., explain that you feel less air-starved starting with the higher minimum (or whatever other reason you have), so you sleep better, plus y...

Airsense 10 minimum pressure being reset by other than me?

I've been using CPAP for about 3-4 months now. Happy with the results. Normal events/hr is in the 1.0-1.5 range, although a couple times a week I'll be well under 1. Doctor says as long as under 5, don't worry. Haven't been close to 3 since my first week or two. But I've noticed that the pressure fe...

Re: Turning my humidity fully off - how common is that?

My two no-humidity nights have been fine. Weather was unseasonably warm the first of those, so I was a bit warm in bed and had trouble sleeping. Last night was more typical, and I slept great, and continue to feel that "no humidity" is what's best for me. My wife has not complained of any extra nois...

Turning my humidity fully off - how common is that?

I realize that no two people are the same, and that sometimes, if something is "right" for me and me alone, that's good enough. I started CPAP two months ago. Last month I played with the default humidity setting, taking it down to 3 from 4, and my sleep comfort was improved. A week ago I took it do...

Re: Warm sweaty nose/lips from pillows - suggestions?

The dialing humidity down from 4 to 3, and the temperature down from 81 to 70, did the trick. Far far more comfortable last night. Thanks again.

Re: Warm sweaty nose/lips from pillows - suggestions?

Thanks for more helpful information.

Although I don't know for sure what kind of hose I have, the unit does have an air temperature setting I'd ignored (climate settings were on auto). So I set it to manual and dialed the temp down from 81 to 70. Might be some trial and error involved.

Re: Warm sweaty nose/lips from pillows - suggestions?

Thank you for the helpful suggestions. I don't have a heated hose. My humidity has always been on 4, so I clicked it down to 3 and will see what happens. The night that triggered this post, I'd been to a party and ate and drank too much, and I think that contributed to my being unable to sleep once ...

Warm sweaty nose/lips from pillows - suggestions?

I'm one month into CPAP now and the adaptation has gone very well. I slept great before, and sleep great now. But my wife appreciates that I don't snore, so that constitutes an improvement. My main current complaint is that, although I have about the most-minimal face covering I could want - under-n...

Re: Humidifier/water usage; help me understand "events"

IF you would have read the first post on the page as suggested, you would have learned about OSCAR Software. I read the first post on the page. Likely better than you've read my posts. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=177600#p1330466 - point 4 - mentions that I have the OSCAR software in...

Re: Humidifier/water usage; help me understand "events"

A couple updates. First, my events/hour decreased last night to 3.2, lowest number yet. I won't be super aggressive fretting about what my number is if it's below 5. Second though, my water tank was full this morning. I'm emptying and cleaning the tank daily, and the full/empty pattern continues - N...

Re: Humidifier/water usage; help me understand "events"

There have been a lot of comments posted, and I appreciate that. Rather than responding to each one, just offering some additional information: I live in the northeast US, and my house has air conditioning and integrated humidification with heat. It's currently 40 F outside, and 35% rh indoors The b...

Humidifier/water usage; help me understand "events"

I am in my first week of CPAP use, and surprised at how happy I am, as I was 100% happy with my sleep prior to CPAP, and assumed it would cramp my style. It hasn't. Here are two basic questions I have, one about my water tank/humidifier, and the other about "events." The pattern I've had so far with...
