Re: Shingles Vaccine and mask sensitivity

How long has it been known that SoClean is dangerous? I started cpap in May 2009.....it was known then that SoClean was potentially dangerous/harmful to the human as well as the equipment. I had a co-worker at an old job who used a pap machine for many years. He was clearly embarrassed about it and...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

On the other hand 40+ lbs of cuteness overload does help at times. Yep. My fur babies bring a smile to my face (most of the time anyway) and I actually sleep better with them in bed with me than without. It's comforting and I am all about comfort. Without comfort I just don't sleep so great. Hubby ...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

Yes looked at those after market ones not sure I trust aftermarket but for that price it might be worth a try. Check on the return policy of that aftermarket item....I know returning things is a PITA but if they are totally rejected might be worth it to send back or just keep for emergency. I total...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

Yes looked at those after market ones not sure I trust aftermarket but for that price it might be worth a try. Will sit down this weekend and get something ordered. I've got one full back up mask (N-20) here and now one at my daughter's in Vegas but would prefer to have at least one more. (Puppy sti...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

My primary says I have to go to a sleep doc. That may be true for insurance to pay. But if doc knows you will be paying out of pocket to buy online, doc may cooperate with that approach. I told her I was just looking to buy online and not use insurance. She didn't care. Its ok. I will eventually do...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

When I wanted to try a different form of PAP, I simply called my primary doc's office to ask them for a generic CPAP Rx that I could use to get supplies from CPAP.com. Got it same day. My primary says I have to go to a sleep doc. I say screw that. They can kiss my behind. I'm not paying $80 to see ...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

Have you tried finding one on EBAY? I have seen several different masks listed as mask frame, but include the entire mask. If all else fails, you can always buy the mask kit (frame and cushion) and a seperate headgear. This does not require a prescription. Thanks. I've checked amazon but didn't thi...

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription

Called it primary care wants me to see a sleep doctor. Nope, not happening. Care to share why you won't see a sleep doctor? (to get what you want) Wouldn't that be better than the sleep study? Why would I pay to see a specialist who has never helped me in the past ? I have a sleep study, I won't ev...

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription

Perhaps another medic may be persuaded to update your old prescription-- as an act of charity for a poor widow. Try a free clinic, for example. Thanks. I probably should just doctor shop. I don't like my primary. I am just having a hard time finding the will to care. Doctors are so much work and I ...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

Since the prescription, as stored on the site, is itself a COPY, you might consider making yet again another copy, (how will anyone know?) and changing the date, etc. before uploading. Not really fraudulent, because you are PAYING for the merch--just skipping the being screwed part. But zip your li...

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription

I'm not old enough for medicare. Some of us still have to work for a living. We don't get to just willy nilly change insurance companies once a year. And if they keep raising that age I might never get there. My late husband didn't. I had no idea but afaik employers also allow for benefits updates ...
