Re: First few nights with APAP and I have some questions?

What you should know is that bacteria feeds on minerals, the same minerals left behind. Enuff said. Links to the bacteria in question please. I looked...couldn't find any but maybe you have better sources than I do. I would love to see supporting documentation to your statement please. Thank you in...

Re: how to connect heated tube to mask

Wondering if it is possible to buy just that piece somewhere separately? It depends on your mask. Try googling your specifc mask plus swivel. For example, the amazon pic looks something like this. https://cpapsupplies.com/respironics-entrainment-valve-swivel which is specific to ComfortGel Blue Ful...

Re: Luggage for 3 CPAPs

Long ago I worked for a MS Cert training company. I had to setup computer labs weekly in hotels. We used travel cases with custom foam inserts. Never had a computer damaged due to shipping. Consider getting a hard sided suitcase and design your own custom foam inserts. https://www.google.com/search?...

Re: Opinions on MMA?

Even successful, you might have or develop centrals/CSR/complex apnea in the future. MMA surgery does not increase the chances of developing central apnea. CPAP usage does cause some cases of central sleep apnea (treatment-emergent sleep apnea). Not as a result of surgery , but rather as result of ...

Re: Opinions on MMA?

Also research rotational MMA. One proponent claim the surgery provides up to 15 mm more advancement of the jaw resulting in bigger airway than "plain" MMA. MMA's definition of success is not AHI below 5 but some percentage of reduction in AHI that varies between studies. So after surgery you might s...

Read this on apneaboard ============ 03-03-2021, 10:22 AM RE: AirView What data I have I cannot share. They were gathered solely for the purpose of developing OSCAR. There are plenty of charts on this and other forums. Get Airview, get a doctor's license, then talk to ResMed. Doctors can use OSCAR, ...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak

Now the ResShop image leaked....that one is the most interesting for now since it is obviously a more complete final product image. Might be interesting to find other images of it but I couldn't find any. Sorry, I made a mistake based on the "AirSense-11-AutoSet" portion of the the image name. Resp...

Re: CPAP-APAP vs BiPAP-VPAP for OSA

Thanks to everyone. This is a great forum. Am learning a lot. A bilevel can be set to straight cpap mode, if you need it. You can not get a cpap to give the higher pressures and relief of the bilevel. Good point. If you did happen to be a member of that very small minority who find that bilevel pres...

CPAP-APAP vs BiPAP-VPAP for OSA

Greetings, New member in Taiwan. I just had a type 4 home test done by a company who uses these tests as a sales tool. ApneaLink report shows AHI of 45 with 96% OSA 1% central 3% mixed Apnea.jpg So am going to follow up with an ENT doc. The pricing for the machines here in Taiwan are outrageous. The...
