Re: Six months and still struggling
... a full-face mask another try. (Btw, I tried raising the humidity to the max setting, and that didn't seem to help.) I bought the X30i, the new hybrid nasal pillow/face mask. I've used it the last two nights. My thinking is that if I can eliminate two obvious issues I have—nasal blockage and ...

Evora better option than F40 for mouth breather?
... given me good therapy with low ahi (under 1.5) and low leaks. I went to the new DME, and they tried to encourage me to try the Evora full face Hybrid as it has single nose opening and works better for obstructed breathing in the nose. I use a large F40 for better nasal airflow. Is it worth ...

... that have been noted, but I also just learned of a new mask. It's pricey but insurance may pay for it. Called a airfit x30i, an interesting hybrid of nasal pillows and mouth shield. I also just ordered a somnoseal to try with my current mask. Not gonna lie, it is a drag after all these years ...

... environment of the mask and is thus very limited. There are two type of FFM's: the regular ones that go over the bridge or your nose, and the Hybrid ones, that seal your mouth from below. Time for you to start trying FFM's. Sometimes we simply have no choice.

... Neither mask is better than the other, but they are different and the congestion feels different. If its really really bad I keep a full face hybrid mask as well, but only use it a couple times a year. For me masks are a bit like golf clubs....

Re: Gluing tongue to roof of mouth
I figure if I just squirt some towards the front and middle part of my tongue and just push it to the roof of my mouth before it leaks into my throat, I should be fine.
I have tried the F20 with memory foam and without, Vitera, Dreamwear hybrid full face, Evora hybrid full face, Simplus.

Itching around nose issues
I have been a CPAP user for almost 3 years and lately have been struggling with itching around my nose. I use a hybrid ResMed F40 Mask and it seems to be working well. I believe that the itching could be caused by a combination of the contact of the mask, possibly the liner ( I ...

... of air or open and dried out. If I am going to need a chin strap and mouth tape to counter this, would it be better to try a full face mask or hybrid type mask? I used better night for my sleep study, and the doctor said I could try a Resmed airfit F30i or Phillips Dreamware mask. thanks again!

Re: Mouth taping for Hybrid masks?
first night went well. I was surprised in that the "device" or whatever DID allow my lips to part. but at no time did I lose air nor breath any through my mouth. I reckon the shape of the tape (a rectangle with the middle missing, for those who haven't clicked the link) was sufficient to press the r...

Re: Mouth taping for Hybrid masks?
was intrigued by the advertising. so I bought 90 strips (minimum order). these are specifically "designed for beards". the picture shows a chap with what I call a "door knocker" beard very neatly trimmed. mine is more of a full beard with very little trimming done. will try this out and report back....

Myotape (https://myotape.com/) Interesting. ---------------------------------------------------- And can I even benefit from mouth taping if I wear a mask where cushion covers the mouth? With my ResMed F30i, I use the x-shaped sleep strips. They are cheap. For me, they prevent jaw drop which is the...
