... mouth portion of the mask. I have my beard trimmed down pretty tight, although it's not completely bare to my face. The respiratory therapists at Apria insist I need to go clean-shaven for masks like that to work. But I'm skeptical that even doing that is going to solve the problem. I think my ...

Re: reliable approved sources

The first rule with Apria or most other DMEs is NEVER GIVE THEM A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD!!!! I have them bill me, then have my bank mail them a check. That way they have no access to any of my personal accounts. I recommend keeping one ...

Re: reliable approved sources

... my doctor had organized it all but forgot to include me in the loop. Oh well, it's all good, I'm responding very well to the treatment but it is Apria and yes they have been a mixed bag. Some of the counselors have been very helpful but they signed me up for automatic resupply without me authorizing ...

... I live in Delray and there is a Delray office that's fine, despite with some people say about Patrick. I do like him and the staff. But the guy at apria was also nice but he was 45 minutes away and Bill Ray is 5 minutes away. So anyway after beating around the bush, The PA in my ENT / sleep apnea ...

have a home sleep study with an AHI 4%.
The local CPAP suppliers all have bad reviews.
2 have been investigated for Medicare fraud. Apria and Adept. Both giant squid corporations.
Waiting for call backs from 2 others.
Is there a reliable national option that I can try?

Re: Apria vs HME

I am wanting to switch and am considering HME which is smaller and only serves my area of the state. Is HME the name of a company? HME supplier is often used as an abbreviation for all home medical equipment suppliers. Yes, HME is a company. I have seen people on this site who live in my area, so O...

Re: Apria vs HME

... doctor, ask the respiratory tech about a good supplier. If the tech is good, she will know which suppliers her patients have good experience with. Apria has issues at many locations. I used them years ago, and they did some exceptionally good things for me. But that was years ago and one office/one ...

... about somebody hacking into my CPAP data. Should I be? I can't believe scammers hacking into people's CPAP compliance data is a big problem.
