Well, all I can say is that I was in two marriages where the spouse was controlling and I am glad to be divorced from both of them. I only had to deal with major clinical depression in those marriages. I can't imagine adding CPAP to the mix too. Must say that my second hubby snored so badly that I D...

Wes, don't be discouraged at only being able to use it for 2 hours at first. I am having problems because of congestion issues. I keep a log of how many hours I log on each night. I don't let myself get upset at the nights of lower usage, but praise myself on nights where I did better than the night...

I am having the same problems. I have to call my doctor's office back to get a script to have my pressure changed from 6 to 8, for starters. I am trying hard to treat my allergy symptoms and nose stuffiness, which is impeding my use of CPAP, because I feel like I can't get enough air also. Right now...

This is all moot for me right now, since my insurance company got to decide which machine I would get.

Perhaps I should save up and check out some others?

I went to a website that told how much you should weigh for your height and it said I should weigh 173 I guess were all supposed to be just skin and bones. I think it depends on where the skin and bones are -- my hubby is 5'9" and weighs 165 lbs, but he's my hunk with nothing but muscle. Then accor...

What an interesting thread! Well, I am 5'5" and weighed in yesterday at 307 pounds on a scale that is about 5 pounds off. Either way, I am over the big 300 now and hope that I can get this CPAP to work for me. My hope is that it will get my metabolism to kick in a bit so that if I do a diet change f...

I couldn't get online yesterday, so here's what has happened since my last desperate posts. I was finally able to go to sleep with the CPAP at 7:30 am and slept for 4 hours. I had to get up to go to my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration, otherwise I may have tried to sleep more. Today I sp...

I am actually crying as I type this. I have gotten little to no sleep tonight, my anxiety level is really high and I haven't felt this depressed in a long time. I just can't take this. The cruelest thing being that it seemed fine for the first week. I could fall asleep with the machine just fine and...

Sounds like the opposite of me. My dr. had mine set on only 6, which seems low to me, especially since I was averaging 50 hypopneas per hour. Perhaps that is why I wake up feeling like I am gasping for breath. Good luck getting to the solution that works for you. Your Dr. could have been serving yo...

I stopped using the ramp (4) for that reason, and I turn on the machine before putting the mask on my nose, so I am glad to hear that I am doing something right. When I have felt that awful not breathing feeling I have been trying to pull the nose mask off and breathe for a few breaths and try again...

Just knowing that it is not unusual helps.

I washed out my hose and masks, so they have a faint baby soap smell, which I like, so that might help some.

I feel your pain (or drowsiness)

I am scared to death at this point to try to tape my mouth shut, as I am having some claustrophobic issues.

At least we can come in here and get some suggestions and hopefully find out what works for each of us.

First week good, then it went bad

Well, I started out pretty good on my REMstar M series with humidifier with ComfortLite2 mask. I was getting at least 7 hours a night sleep with only a few wake ups and feeling much more rested. For the past two nights I have tried to put in on as usual, only to be overcome by the horrible sensation...
