Re: Thanks From a CPAP Newbie

My AHI=30 prior to CPAP was giving me cardiac problems (AFIB). Happy to hear that you are on a good path. I too was/am having Afib issues. If you don't object I'd like to ask you a couple of questions. 1) Were you having Persistent or Permanent AFIB attacks, or was your issue like mine with Paroxys...

Re: Resmed 11 water reservoir

Husband picked up his brand-new Resmed Airsense 11 today. I've had same model for the past few months. On his new Resmed it is very hard to remove the humidifier to add water. You have to push down on the white tab VERY HARD and simultaneously give a HARD tug at the humidifier to get it to release. ...

Re: New to using Cpap (a bit lost...)

That's all I saying: Consult your healthcare professional. Do you propose that insulin-dependent diabetics call their healthcare professionals several times per day for advice on timing and adjusting their insulin dosage? You are aware that these patients learn to adjust their insulin dosages on th...

Re: Contributors Qualifications

In this day and age it seems that everybody and anybody on the internet can declare themselves as an expert on any topic . To that point if a participant wants to project themselves as knowledgeable, and expect to be taken seriously, they ought to be able to provide some basis to claim that they hav...

Re: Searching for thread on How to tell if therapy is effective

We don't want a lot of days to review...how about best day in terms of low AHI numbers and worst day in terms of highest AHI numbers and start there. So 2 nights. Unfortunately traveling right now, so different bed every night, some days tired, some days drop dead bone weary, so not normal status f...

Re: Searching for thread on How to tell if therapy is effective

Traveling right now, will post screenshot when able. Meanwhile though a question:
Dr says that he really needs data from a week or better, can’t really react to just a single days data. So are you asking me to post screenshots from many days? If so how many days?

Re: Searching for thread on How to tell if therapy is effective

Working through your links, it may take me same time to digest it all. But I did want to say that I did not expect some good/bad/normal type calculator, rather I was looking to learn how I can tell if the therapy is working or not for me. What kinds of things would a doctor look at to check to see i...

Re: Searching for thread on How to tell if therapy is effective

Sure I can read; but are you asking if I can interpret like a doctor?
Are there threads here that will tell me how to interpret?

Searching for thread on How to tell if therapy is effective

Any tips on how to search through the six thousand threads on effective therapy? I'm looking for "How to tell if my therapy is effective or something like that"

Re: "Normal" Obstructive Apneas

Thanks, So, "normal" would not be the adjective to use, but questionable to use these as classical events for AHI purposes. Since we may talking in that realm, hypopneas during that same sleep session appeared like this (again with flatlines in other catogories) Are these "classic" hypopneas or some...

"Normal" Obstructive Apneas

I seem to recall a discussion that some obstructive apneas are considered harmless and perhaps expected. I've a vague recollection that it had to do with apneas that may be observed immediately after a large breath, or change in body position or something on that order. Below are two captured OA, sh...
