Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
Thank you, the Mask pressure is the easy bit, I see that written clearly on the chart, but I do not see the pressure support written anywhere. Let me see if I have understood this correctly is it because the pressure has gone up to 20 that the pressure going up is the 'pressure support' Is that what...

Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
Hi Palerider
Not too sure where to look on the chart to see if the pressure support kicked in or not.
Thanks Pugsy for the tip on doing a screen shot !

Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
Hi Palerider, Thank you for your response. To answer your question, things just do not feel right and it is for this reason that I want to see if I can fine tune it a bit. I know I need to give myself time to get used to the new machine, but with the Philips I felt great after day one. Last night I ...

Re: Oxygen saturation what to expect
Hi Pugsy
Thank you for your response.
So the resmed that i am currently using does not highlight centrals, if I had them.
However I think that I am correct in saying that the Philips Respironics that I had, did.
Many thanks for that information, I was not aware of that at all.

Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
All very interesting for the unenlightened like myself  , there is so much to learn and take in! :) In my research I stumbled across a Sleep Titration Guide to ASV which suggests an ASV Auto Protocol (by lab support 24/7). Apparently there is an ASV Auto default setting, which to the unexperi...

Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
Thank you Palerider and Zonker It is reassuring to know that zero AHI is good. I am quite amazed to discover that my results are so much better on the resmed compared to the Philips. Palerider I had no idea that Resmed were first to invent the ASV it is good to know and obviously their machine does ...

Re: Oxygen saturation what to expect
Thanks Palerider However I do not suffer from centrals, but I have not worked out how to display centrals on Oscar as yet, as it only displays large leak, obstructive, unclassified apnoea and hypopnoea. Used to show it automatically on Sleepyhead on the event flag displays and the odd central came u...

Re: Oxygen saturation what to expect
Hi Julie I tried raising my PS min from 5 to 6 last night. Plan to leave it there for a while, to see how I go. Good idea, as last night my saturation levels did not go below 90% which I was please about. Only time will tell to see if they stay there or if it was a one off. Thanks for that, much app...

Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
Hi Palerider, Thank you for letting me know that the Resmed is considered a better machine by some, I had no idea. Your words of reassurance makes me really want to persevere with my new machine and perhaps I will in time learn to trust it. With the PR recall I suppose I now have little choice, but ...

Re: Oxygen saturation what to expect
Thank you for the responses. I have not as yet learned how to transport the graphs form Oscar. I do not have any underlying health conditions worth mentioning. Need to read up on how to be able to post the graphs very soon. Calling and emailing doc is not currently an option due to pandemic and docs...

Re: Oxygen saturation what to expect
Hi Pugsy Thank you for your suggestion. However due to covid and people with the virus taking priority, I am not able to schedule an appointment for the next 12 months possibly longer, so looking for ideas from the forum. But it sounds form you say I am above 88 so should be okay. My oxymeter is new...

Re: Oxygen saturation what to expect
Thank you Julie. Last night my oxygen levels dropped below 90% for 1 hour 8 minutes during a 5 hour 47 minute sleep period. My O2 score 7.7 though I am not sure if that is good or bad. Drops per hour 0.3. Drops over 4% 2 Average SPO2 96% Lowest SPO2 89% It seems that if I turn my settings down a bit...

Oxygen saturation what to expect
My AHI is usually below 2 and often below 1, however my saturation levels drop during the night to 88% on my new ResMed Air Curve Pacewave 10 set on ASVAuto. Just wondering what the normal range is?

Re: Setting struggles PR ASV Sys 1 to R.Med AirCurve 10 ASv
Hi Respirator 99 Sound like a good idea. I shall give a go at breathing back at it, to see if it will stop the machine attempting to force me to breathe at its pace, which makes me feel quite sea sick! Palerider I turned the the epap back to 9 last night so the saturation stats went back t...
