Re: Getting stuck with UARS settings!
Hello, just wanted to check to be safe. How long do you sit on a pressure, days, weeks, before making a change?

Re: Getting stuck with UARS settings!
Thank you Pugsy, It's been confusing as everyone on every forum says EPAP for OA's and IPAP for reras. My OAs are covered by my EPAP very effectively. So I've been looking to find out what will help the collapsed airways in REM and by the sounds of what you're saying it's not just IPAP, it's EPAP to...

Re: Getting stuck with UARS settings!
Cheers for your helpful input dog slobber. I didn't blow off the suggestion of EPAP intolerance. I feel judging on my tolerance to the settings during non REM sleep I am completely fine with the EPAP. My whole 'whats next' is based around what I do to deal with my REM sleep. How one would keep my ai...

Re: Getting stuck with UARS settings!
Hey, thanks for the reply. The third screenshot is my breathing during REM. I actually want to try a little higher EPAP tonight. I don't feel a have any intolerance on exhale at 6 EPAP at all but I do wonder in REM if I actually need a little further 'stinting' with a slightly higher EPAP. In terms ...

Getting stuck with UARS settings!
Hi there, big fan of this forum and everybody on it, you're all heros. I've tried to gather as much info over the last two weeks to work on my situation without posting but it seems I'm reaching a confusing, dead end, I hope you can help... I have UARS (RDI on last test was 15 an hour) and I'm slowl...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
Bear in mind that the heated tube/hose doesn't change the actual amount of humidity being delivered.. all it does is help control condensation of that humidity in the hose or mask. So whatever hose temp you select will NOT impact the amount of humidity that the machine cranks out. Amount of humidit...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
A setting of 4 on a ResMed machine really isn't all that high of a setting and if one lives in a relatively humid area that setting probably doesn't really add much (if any) moisture to the cpap provided air. Here's how it works...the setting (whatever it is) for humidity is what the machine is sup...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
Did it not occur to you that your sinus problem might be caused by such high humidity = depending on where you live, Arizona vs Seattle, you may not need that humidity at all, or only on a lower setting at most. I live in London, the air is generally neutral/to humid cos of the rain. I truly think ...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
Hi all, continuing my thread. Hope you can help. Have found a little more relief of symptoms from having min pressure 10 max 12 and EPR at 3. But I am finding myself severely congested and 'black eyed' the next morning. The best way I can understand it is imagine holding your nose and blowing out, y...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
why would people with UARS need a higher pressure? I don't know and not everyone does end up needing markedly higher pressures. I have just noticed over the years that when people with UARS come here...seems like that's what happens. Remember....UARS as a real medical problem in still in its infanc...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
https://novarecoverycenter.com/drugs/trazodone/#h-trazodone-withdrawal-symptoms-and-detox It's up for grabs how long any withdrawal symptoms may persist but it could be months...and messing with sleep itself is one of the many potential side effects. Similar side effects I think from the other meds...

Re: Really new, left in dark by doctors
That one night looks pretty good, setting the max at 10 only prevents the machine from acting, in case it needs to go higher, there's few legitimate reasons to lower the max from 20. You might try raising the min to 8, and see if that helps, you're doing quite well for someone new, but there is roo...
