Re: Covid and AHI
I thought I should close the loop here. Thanks to those who replied. It appears that Pugsy nailed it, though. There was one more night of a high (for me) AHI of 12+. But then things started settling back to normal. I've had some "normal" variation but all told, lately my numbers have dropped back be...

Covid and AHI
I have used CPAP for many years and for the past several, my AHI has generally been around 3 or so. I tested positive for covid last Monday and had a dry cough, stuffy nose, and a fever (highest 102.1). I continued to used CPAP and my numbers were in the normal range. I started paxlovid on Friday mo...

Re: Looking for advise regarding current recall- replacement unit
Thanks for all the good advice. This is not a lightly used device I am donating: this is the brand-new whatever-it-is that Philips is sending me to replace my old, recalled unit. I bought an AirSense 10 back in August and will continue using that. But I am sure someone out there could use a brand-ne...

Re: Looking for advise regarding current recall- replacement unit
A data point on the recall: I did not register until August 17. I received notification this morning that they have just shipped me a replacement machine. Since I already bought a replacement on my own dime, I don't need this; does anyone have a suggestion about the best way to identify people who I...

Re: new "large leak"
And, following the advice to fiddle with the mask, I did and am pleased to report that there was a screw loose. Literally. There is a little thingamajig that loosens to adjust the angle of the nasal pillow holder. I had apparently loosened it and never re-tightened it. Did so last night. And we're b...

Re: Respironics Dreamstation - huge unit-to-unit noise variation
Because I used to have a (relatively) noisy DreamStation (I now have a ResMed AirSense 10 that is VERY quiet), we long ago bought a handy-dandy little white noise generator. I put it on the floor close to the head of the bed and, presto-chango, what noise? It covered the noise from the DreamStation ...

Re: Major leak over 80ml on resmed A10, new supplies too
Is there any possibility that a pinhole leak has developed in the hose(s) at any point or that the hose connection points are less than perfect?

Re: new "large leak"
Thanks for the quick reply. It is certainly possible that any one (or more) of the items in the list you provided are wrong and I have my homework cut out for me. What puzzles me is that for the first month or so, everything was stable. To the best of my knowledge, I am doing nothing differently now...

new "large leak"
I used a DreamStation (or its predecessor) for about 15-17 years, until the recall. I was able to purchase a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset to replace it almost exactly two months ago. My pressure settings are 7-12 and most nights the pressure is around 9.5. My AHI score is around 4.8 (down, oddly, from...
