About 3 months in ...

Hey everybody, i'm about 3 months in to this therapy now... still having problems with the nasal congestion. When i do get a good nights rest on the mask, I feel better and more energized. I took my machine for a camping trip a few weeks ago in the motorhome, but the new battery bank I had wouldn't ...

Anyone hear about that bone loss study?

A few weeks ago, there was a post in here about bone loss in your upper jaw from pressure of a nasal mask. is it really true? I'm still off and on with my nasal mask and can't stand the nasal pillows I have (I beleive it is the Breeze.) I'd love to be able to use a couple of different type of equipm...

Linda, it is ok for you to admit you are scared! I'm hoping your MD can get a handle on the problem. I don't know why I've been getting so aggresive lately, maybe I'm having male pms.... I tried a different approach today, just relax and not take the lead. It can be hard to do, I find that I am very...

Linda, Don't scare me like that! A stroke is what I'm scared TO DEATH of...And I play with lethal stuff every day. I used to get nosebleeds all the time as a kid and a teenager. My nose would dry out inside. The neosporin is a good idea, mom used to make me use good ol' Vaseline....yuck. Are you sur...

Linda, I agree, you can't save up all of the things you want to do til' later. My stepdad was a great guy and wanted to do a lot of things after he retired. Well, prostate cancer took him away from us within 6 months of his retirement and I think of him and miss him often. He never got to meet the g...

Linda, only 14 more years and I will be able to do what I want, retire! I am not my job, but have learned plenty of practical things there. I just want to have good health after I retire, so i'm glad I got on the CPAP ride when I did.

My Fisher and Paykel unit has a pretty nice bag. My gripe is cleaning... I wish some one would come out with a spray or solution you could use quicly and conviently ? to clean your hose and mask. It would have to be pretty Idiot proof also. I'm planning on taking my CPAP on the baot with me on a 5 d...

Linda, i have come from a family line of champion snorers. I've always had people tell me that my snoring was really loud. I was just starting to feel run down all the time, and was very grouchy a lot. I went in for my normal 6 month blood test and my red count was through the roof. My MD, a pulmono...

Hey Snooze, I'm new also and I understand your feelings. I'm 45 and am not overjoyed to have to be "on the hose " for the rest of my life. When I think about the alternatives of not using the therapy. I get back to it. I'm scared to death of having a stroke! So anyhow, listen to the regulars here li...

Linda, thanks for your support! It is great to have this website to hear how everyone else is doing with this therapy. I didn't have a great night last nite, but just had a nap on the hose and woke up feeling refreshed. I'm glad to hear that the problems that I'm experiencing aren't that uncommon. I...

I work at an electric utility. I repair swtchgear and electrical equipment in substations. I work on voltages from 6 VDC to 500kv DC and AC voltage from 120 VAC to 230kv VAC. We work 4800 volts live! Now you can see why my doctor is wanting me to get all the rest that I can. As for hobbies, I love 4...

Progress (I Think) Report

Well it has been about a month and a half since I started with CPAP . I'm having the "wake up and find the mask on the floor episodes" a few time a week, but once in a while I'll get a whole night. I keep trying to discipline my self to using CPAP , it isn't the easiest thing to get used to. I notic...
