Sleep Clinics in Frankfurt?

Hello all, I recently moved to Frankfurt and I'm looking to redo my sleep test. The previous one was done poorly at a public hospital, so while it was free, it didn't give accurate data. I found this list: https://doclandmed.com/en/germany/Frankfurt/ent-diseases-otolaryngology/sleep-apnea But it's q...

Ordering Replacement Parts Internationally

Hello everyone, thank you to all who previously responded to my questions. This forum is a wonderful resource. TL;DR: Which suppliers for Resmed parts ship to Germany at low shipping cost or provide free shipping? Full post: I recently moved to Germany and need to replace some broken parts: H5i Wate...

My Airfit P10 nose pillows slip off

Hello everyone I have a Resmed S9 and Airfit P10 and use an ergonomic pillow that has a 'valley' to help stabilize my head. At some point at night I toss and turn and the nose pillows get loose. Since they're no longer airtight they start blowing and whistling, waking my partner up. I've had the cpa...

Re: Issues with noise from exhaust vents: Resmed S9 + Airfit P10

Thank you for your reply @Pugsy If you are having a lot of awake/arousal related centrals then we would advise trying to figure out what is causing the arousal and fix that. I'm not really sure what other factors could contribute to waking up breathless with heart racing. I've changed my screen habi...

Re: Help with interpreting OSCAR

Thank you Grumpy. Do you advise that I repost with the simplified view? I am totally new and feeling quite disheartened and overwhelmed. I've looked at all the intro guides pinned at the top of the forum, but I'm clearly missing some of the nuances and what I need to do to clean up the data visuals ...

Re: Issues with noise from exhaust vents: Resmed S9 + Airfit P10

Hello, thank you for taking the time to add context to your previous one liner post. Do you also have suggestions for how to bring my ahi down? I did some reading and apparently CA isn't really impacted by increasing pressure. mutual uplift. You're thinking of apneaboard. This is a community of *fac...

Help with interpreting OSCAR

Hello everyone, thank you to all who replied to my previous thread. I'm learning a lot, but still feeling overwhelmed. At about 3 am I woke up with heart racing and unable to fall back asleep. I also noticed that each time I exhaled, it sounded 'windy' in the tube. I was finally able to fall back as...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Re: mouth breathing:
I came across tutorials and videos about taping your mouth closed. I've been using medical tape and it's helped a great deal. I ordered some transparent tape marketed for mouthbreathing sleeping.

@palerider my understanding is that this is a community intended for education and mutual uplift. I am a newbie and I had thought that below 5 is acceptable. What is a number that, in your opinion, I should strive for? What additional steps should I take that I haven't already?

Hello Everyone, Thank you for your replies The ramp starts at 4, set by my doctor The model is 36005 A I am looking at my Oscar data and at the links provided by other users in this thread to interpret the data. At a top level the average AHI is 3.15 which seems good. RE: The OP: After I started tap...

Re: Issues with noise from exhaust vents: Resmed S9 + Airfit P10

Thank you so much, your response is really helpful and supportive. I downloaded OSCAR but am a bit intimidated. I appreciate all the resources here and will look forward to digging in. My Resmed S9 is H5i, do you know how I can check if it is a brick? I know that my doctor is able to pull data from ...

Issues with noise from exhaust vents: Resmed S9 + Airfit P10

Issues with noise from exhaust vents: Resmed S9 + Airfit P10 The noise from the air vents (or possibly opening my mouth) is waking my partner up. Are there alternative masks that I can use? The range in pressure I use is from 4-14. I use the medium sized nose pillows which have a better fit than the...
