Re: Can I set an AirCurve 10 ASV like my AirSense 10 Autoset
From the Aircurve 10 ASV clinical manual: In ASV or ASVAuto mode, PSmin can be 0–6 cm H2O; PSmax 5–20 cm H2O So I'd try the settings Pugsy suggested, but you can't have PSmin = PSmax = 0. My feeling is that the PS will stay low unless the machine sees a need to increase it, eg when you have a centra...

It certainly does! So do your weekly reports with the dates all arse-about. Come on man - you're an Aussie, time to cater for your countrymen!UncleNicko wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:43 pmI know that sucks for Aussies because of the exchange rate.

Re: Wrong Usage Time
... They should have done it from midnight to midnights No - for the vast majority of people (who sleep at night), splitting the "day" at midnight would break up their data. Splitting it at midday suits most people. It's unfortunate for shift workers like yourself, but they need to cater for the ma...

I agree with the others - unexplained chest pain should be treated with urgency.
At four in the morning? Not judging, but that is not very good sleep hygiene.I got back in bed and started checking my phone.

Re: Do you use the ramp function?
My ASV gives a pretty abrupt transition between ramp and therapeutic pressure, so I turned it off years ago. I agree with Pugsy that it's a personal choice - up to a point. With many machines, there is no logging of events or therapy during the ramp period, so if you have a 45 minute ramp you're mis...

Re: In the UK....Seeking advice on whether or not to pursue CPAP
I happen to know that leaving the machine at 20cm max is not good... I do know that much. You don't seem to know how an APAP works, do you? You're making a newbie error in thinking that a max setting of 20 means that the machine will run at 20. It will run as high as it needs to, and no higher. By ...

Re: In the UK....Seeking advice on whether or not to pursue CPAP
Isn't that the point? Setting an APAP range is waiting for problems. Didn't you just recommend (after I'd told them to set min to 7) a range of 7-20cm? Why would you do that? Nobody needs 20cm when starting out... just a recipe for disaster. Why do you say that? In what way is APAP "waiting for pro...

Welcome to the forum. Your charts don't look too bad on the whole - nothing to suggest the fatigue you are feeling. However, your respiration rate is on the high side, and you are breathing both fast and deep. This may be related to your various conditions or the medications you're on. This is well ...

Re: Confused regarding Mask/Tubing/Humidifier Tub Cleaner
It looks like the advice against using certain products is based on their strong odours or harmful vapours. I think the key to getting your gear back into a usable condition is thorough rinsing in hot water to get all residue out. The general advice is to let the gear air-dry, but I have found that ...

Re: Leaks and MyAir reporting
MyAir is a really poor way of managing treatment, and can give quite misleading results. However if you're consistently getting 0 out of 20 for mask seal, then there is a problem. As Miss Emerita said, the machine cannot properly diagnose events during periods of large leak, so you low AHI may well ...

Re: Prescribed CPAP settings setup for replacement machine
I will look into monitoring now. How does that work? I thought it needs to be done by professional, but it doesn't seem to be the case, correct? If you require compliance for insurance or licensing purposes, then professional monitoring may be an issue. But for most of us it's quite easy to do it y...
