Thanks for the responses. As requested, here is the mask pressure trace. I won't be able to respond further for at least a few days due to some stuff happening.

Recent poor results - ASV
Hi all I use a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV. For years my AHI has always been less than 2.0 and my hours have been good enough. Over the past few months, AHI has gone high and I'm turning the machine off in my sleep. I have tried increasing pressures including max & min EPAP as well as increased PS max & ...

Re: Problems with leaks F20 + Airsense 11
Good advice there from Ozij. In particular: Not every mask will fit you It may just be that the F20 doesn't suit the shape of your face and you might need to try a different mask. There are dozens of models out there, and sometimes you need to try more than a few to find one that really suits you. T...

Re: CPAP airflow with mouth closed and not inhaling
A dry mouth is often a sign of leaking. And if airflow is heard but not inhaled, it's also probably a sign of leaking. What do your Oscar / SleepHQ charts show? And what type of mask are you using?

Re: Increase in AHI; OSCAR says CA and Cheyne-Stokes
That's a huge improvement, and I hope it is sustainable, not just a one-off. So please let us know how it goes over a period of time. Even though you have some periodic breathing, it's not prolonged enough to be a worry. The main question now is whether you can feel any difference? Do you feel more ...

Re: If I purchase a new machine will I still need my doctor (ENT) to set it up?
Enough with the comments about comments and the trash talk and slurs. Get on topic or STFU. Agreed. So today I got my sleep test back and it was extremely bad. Didn't have a chance to talk with my ENT. I am meeting with him Friday. However I WAS quoted $1300 by his staff and I CAN get a brand new u...

Re: If I purchase a new machine will I still need my doctor (ENT) to set it up?
The doc I am currently seeing claims a cystoscopy w/ out meds (he puts his patients under) is barbaric. I wonder who's making the most money here? I had a cytoscopy a few years ago - no general anaesthetic, just local applied as a gel on the device. It was quite comfortable and no additional meds w...

Re: Increase in AHI; OSCAR says CA and Cheyne-Stokes
G'day Linsday. Yes, that definitely looks like genuine central apnea and CSR. Off to the doctor you go - this needs to be sorted. In the meantime, you could try adjusting the pressure - as a first guess, I'd set the machine to CPAP mode (not automatic) with a fixed pressure of 7.0 , and turn EPR off...

Re: Cpac machine
Physically moving or not moving has nothing to do with the machine recording. Quite so. There's no need to lie perfectly still. It's not natural, and will disturb your sleep - but the machine can't tell the difference. This is further complicated, if the time/date/am-pm is incorrect on your machine...

Re: OSCAR or others
Getting back to the original question... Oscar is indeed open source, but if you download from the official Oscar site, you will get the genuine article. Oscar has been developed (from an earlier program called Sleepyhead) by a group of programmers who also happen to be apneacs. I've been using Osca...

Do you specifically need v1.8? Apneaboard have v2.24 available for download. You need to have an account (free) and be logged in to access their software page.

Re: pugsy out for awhile
It actually was very serious and I came within a hair of getting a transfusion. Not good! I had a GI bleed a couple of years ago and ended up getting two blood transfusions and an iron infusion. Plus a gastroscopy and colonoscopy. It took a while to get over it, so take it easy and don't push yours...
