If it's still working within specs and doing the job it's supposed to do, and I'm still happy with it, why should I have to buy a new one just because it's reached a particular age? If we were to go into panic mode about any foam in any machine....unwarranted panic for sure. If I had a Philips machine, I would keep merrily using it until they decided to replace it.
