Re: Pressure Increases w/o Events
dataq1 I certainly appreciate the responses I received from you and Pugsy regarding my question. Was confused by the blips on my DS2 OSCAR reports and you resolved my confusion with these detailed answers. I am sorry you had to endure unwarranted abuse from this palerider character. I found paleride...

Pressure Increases w/o Events
I use a DreamStation 2 with APAP pressures at 9.5 min., 11.0 max., with A-Flex at 1. I have recently noticed numerous pressure increases that do not appear to be in response to or have any relation to apnea, hypopnea, or other events. This often occurs at the beginning of the night before I fall asl...

Re: CPAP & Ear Problems
I read the article that you referred me to. I think you nailed it. I have "glue ear." Oddly enough, the liquid substance in my ear is very similar to glue. My ENT didn't even mention this as a possibility. I am going to give him a copy of this article and will refer him to "Doctor" Rick Blaine for a...

CPAP & Ear Problems
Shortly after starting CPAP in April, I developed a serious problem with my left ear. The eardrum will get totally plugged by some type of liquid substance. It would partially drain at times, then fill back up again. The problem is so severe that I totally lose all hearing at times in that ear. I fi...

Re: DreamStation 2 & AHI
I increased my pressures last night to 9 minimum and 20 maximum and had an AHI of 2.9. I am going to keep it set to these pressures for a few days and see how it does over time.
Thanks for the help.

Re: new replacement machine
I live in Washington State. I started CPAP treatment with the DreamStation on 4/8/21. This is the only device I was offered by my DME dealer and it was put on a rental contract paid by Medicare. I never used any type of ozone cleaner on the machine. I registered on 6/28/21 as soon as I found out abo...

DreamStation 2 & AHI
I was just delivered the DreamStation 2 replacement and I used it for the first time last night after entering my prescribed settings. My AHI was 6.2. I bought a Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle about a month ago because of concerns relating to the DreamStation 1 recall. My AHI over the last month with th...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have been shopping online for a backup device due to the Phillips Respironic recall. I see that several online dealers are advertising the DreamStation 2 for sale. I haven’t seen, however, where any of these dealers have the new machine available for immediate delivery. I am going to be totally ou...

F & P SleepStyle and AHI
I just purchased a F &P SleepStyle as a backup machine because of the Philips Respironic recall. I had been using the DreamStation since I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea seven months ago. My average AHI with the DreamStation was around 4. In two nights of using the SleepStyle my AHI was repor...
