Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Hi It has been a while since I last posted here. I have been now on CPAP [ResMed Auto Sense 10 with Full Face Mask] for more than a year and my life has dramatically improved ever since, especially with respect to the brain fog, cognitive decline and fatigue that I had developed by the time I began ...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Thanks for these advices and I apologise for the belated reply. I had to reset my laptop and lost a lot of user info. I wanted to know whether there is any way in which one can assess the extent of noise from the CPAP and whether CPAP is working well from OSCAR Data. The noise from the Airsense 10 A...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Felt like I was sleeping with a military gas mask on and didn’t like that claustrophobic sensation My first few nights were terrible with F20. Now, though, I have got used to it. At the time, when I began the rental, Res Med India did not have F30. Now, they do have AirFit™ F30 Sys-APAC. Is that th...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Hi everyone. I am back here seeking advice since there has been a slight retrogression as I completed 60 days with CPAP. After tremendous improvement over the last month, my nightmares that I used to have before beginning with CPAP, have begun again. So much so that I have woken up in panic around t...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Is there anyone here with Axial spondyloarthritis or ankylosing spondylitis? How long do you manage to sleep with CPAP? Before CPAP, I used to sleep for 6 hours (6 hours and 30 minutes on really good days) before a combination of back pain and headache (possibly from apnea) would wake me up (and the...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Say, you didn't have okra at dinner last night, did you? Luckily, none of my action-packed nightmares have been about okra so far. They have caused me enough trouble while I have been awake. Growing up in a family where everyone but for me has loved this wretched slimy vegetable, my childhood was s...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 not sending information to App

it has stopped sending information to the cell phone app for several days. I had a similar problem a few days ago. Res Med Sleep Coach asked me to check the settings on CPAP to verify the network provider being shown on the settings. The network being shown (Airtel India) was different from the net...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

I have questions galore after last night. a) Is there any correlation between quality of sleep and nightmares? I have had for the last couple of years an endless series of disaster movies as dreams. From drowning in the Atlantic, to being chased by dinosaurs and predators, buried by an avalanche or ...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Usually safe to assume that optimal cpap therapy fixes any low oxygen issues as long as sleep apnea is the only cause of the low oxygen. Thanks for that clarification. I guess from the fact that I can already sense palpable improvement in my headache in the morning, that possibly oxygen saturation ...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Thanks for that link. Here is the updated screenshot. screenshot-20210530-212230.png Let me know if this gives all the necessary information. As an aside, my sleep test report had also found hypomexia with an Oxygen Desaturation Index of 31.2 and lowest oxygen saturation of 77%. I gather that CPAPs ...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Count those chickens! Count sheep. You are making quick progress! Looks like I did count the chickens a bit too early for the last 4 days have been little up and down with quite a few interruptions. I got a SD Card holder though and downloaded my SD Card Data. Would like to know if I am doing it ri...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

You can consider a third alternative. Try another mask. The differences in strap placement can perhaps make them feel less claustrophobic. Many DMEs have 30 day trials. viewtopic/t179224/30Day-Mask-Trials.html F&P even has a mask targeting mouth breathing. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/fisher .....

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

I wish that OSCAR authors would make it plainer about the need to lock the SD card for people. The ONLY cpap users who need to lock the SD card are the ResMed S9 model users and even then it wasn't the end of the world if they forgot. Thanks so much for your reply to my post earlier. I downloaded a...

Re: 15 days with ResMed AutoSense CPAP: Seeking Advice on Mouthbreathing

Ah thanks. That helps a lot. So you are using the ResMed AirSense 10 model machine.... Is it the CPAP model or the AutoSet model? These are 2 separate models and the "CPAP" model isn't compatible with OSCAR but the AutoSet model is compatible. You mention both models....which is it? Oh, I was not aw...
