Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
I'll stick to the N30I for the moment, can't afford the P30I for now... I have a question about my leak rate, I find it a little "high". What do you think? Oscar.jpg Can this explain why my AHI is so low? Like, does leaks could prevent CPAP machine to count correctly events? Or does CPAP work really...

Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
Finally got an answer from my care provider... They don't provide Airfit P30I cause it's the same than the N30I. Really? Why would resmed sell two different product that are exactly the same? How a P30I could leak like a N30I? From what I read here, it's not the same no? Beside the fact that they us...

Re: NAKED CPAP
Had to think to remove my shirt before putting my mask on.
I remeber that I'm not David Copperfield on the first night!

Re: Just started cpap.. can't stand it. Any advice?
But for the record, braces don't cause sleep apnea - only correct which way your teeth lean. But that may be your particular anatomical issue - narrow jaw leading to narrowed airway... not leading in the sense that anything got worse before or after getting braces, but that the line of your jaw may...

Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
In the U.S. if you have insurance they want to see usage of at least 4 hrs before they pay for machine... that may be similar to what they told you about 4 hrs, BUT it doesn't mean you should only use the machine 4 hrs - DO use it all night to get the benefit of it, just don't use it for less than ...

Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
Ok, so I got my appointment Wednesday and all I can say is my disappointment! The doctor was here for only 5 minutes, barely look at the data, write a letter, talk briefly to the care provider, and then... gone. The care provider was more present, but except the fact that he change my settings to a ...

Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
The doc's life and the care provider's life will press on whether you feel better or worse. They have too many people to "look after." You're the only one with real skin in the ”CPAP game." Whether you feel better only truly matters to you. From what I understand about how it works with insurance i...

Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
BUT If you aren't going to manage the changes yourself then I don't understand why you're here. Actually, I'm here cause it seemed to me that it's a place to talk about CPAP and sleep apnea, not only CPAP settings. And I'm not saying that I won't change settings myself, it's just that I prefer to w...

Re: 10 days in the CPAP game
The suffocating feeling might also be coming from a lack of pressure. You mentioned that your lower pressure is set to 5. That's pretty low, and many, many people have expressed the exact feeling of suffocation with it set there. If you look through the forum for about 5 minutes you'll find instruc...

10 days in the CPAP game
Hi everyone! Last night was my 10th night using my CPAP (a Resmed Airsense 10 autoset, with a pressure of 5-15, humidifier and a nasal mask). At start, everything were almost perfect! I'm able to sleep all night with my mask on since the begining. But on 10 days, problems appears! 1: LEAKS! Trying t...

Re: Feeling sleepy after Cpap
Glad I came here too! 8th days in with an Airsens 10 and a nasal mask. Since the begening i'm able to sleep full night with mask on. But since monday, I have never felt this tired. Almost like I had two sleepless night in a row and ready to go to sleep. It seems it's something normal related to "sle...
