Re: Is mask leak insignificant? (In my case)
Is this the correct way? http://www.cpaptalk.com/download/file.php?mode=view&id=15484&sid=f4478918c872a5ab379c634020b74d74 yes. as to the leaks, are they keeping you awake? or are they waking you up? At times they wake me. Last night was the final straw, because it woke me at 2:30 and I couldn't ge...

Is mask leak insignificant? (In my case)
I was using a Resmed F-20 and had no leaks. It created a sore on the bridge of my nose. I had few leaks with that cushion. I switched to the memory foam cushion. It is more comfortable, my AHI's seem ok, but it leaks quite a bit more than the other. My question I suppose is - Do the leaks matter tha...

Re: Odd Oscar Numbers
Thank you both! My problems started when I decided to "tweak" the settings to deal with dry mouth. Xylimints have helped a great deal. I think I will go back to "auto" and assume the respiratory therapist might be a bit more knowledgeable than me.

Odd Oscar Numbers
I thought I had my "rainout" issues fixed, but obviously I need to do more tweaking. What I dont understand is that Oscar is showing AHI's during the time I was fooling with my mask. When I felt moisture (times circled), I disconnected hose from mask, let it keep blowing to rid it of excess water, w...

Re: Almost Drowned in my Sleep!
So my advice would be to turn the temperature on the humidifier DOWN to reduce the difference between the room temperature and the hose/mask temperature. Am I confused? Turning down the heater setting to the humidifier is also an option but it also reduces the amount of humidity being delivered to ...

Not sure of the humidity.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 8:30 amWhat is the relative humidity in your house?
Why is your bedroom temperature at 68?
Temp is due to menopausal wife. It can get ugly if it gets warm in there!

Re: Almost Drowned in my Sleep!
Is it possible the hose wasn't properly attached... crooked at the screw place if you know what I mean :) , or is your machine located above your head - water can't run back to it that way. The machine is on the hightstand level with my head. The hose drops down in a U shape, down and up to mask.

Almost Drowned in my Sleep!
Ok, maybe I am being dramatic. After a full week on this machine I decided to give the whole thing a proper cleaning. I is a Resmed Air 10 Auto, with a F-20 full mask. I hung the hose for about 10 hours before using the machine. Everything was fine until about 2:30 am. The piece where the mask and h...

Re: CPAP causing Daytime Anxiety
I am in the same situation as the creator of this thread. I am a male, 58, overweight with an untreated AHI of 56. I have now been using the CPAP for 10 weeks and since the first week my depression/anxiety has increased. I felt great after starting the CPAP as my daytime drowsiness disappeared. My ...

Re: First Night on CPAP
Hey, you got an Airsense 10 Autoset and you're using Oscar -- well done! As LSAT says, you seem to be off to a good start. Was the long time falling asleep due to the mask/machine experience? And how are you feeling during the day? It's possible you'll want to raise your minimum, but it's too early...

First Night on CPAP
Here is what Oscar said

Any insights would be helpful.
I fell asleep about midnight. Woke up once at about 6am, and dozed back off for a bit.
