The voltage drop is expected and the devices can generally handle it.
You don't know that. Want to test it on your $600 CPAP? A CPAP is not a golf cart that starts to slow down as the voltage starts to drop...

Re: Choosing a Battery

... You get about half the time with a lead battery than LiFePO4. Take a look at the Bioenno 24 Volt LiFePO4 . You'll have to get/make an adapter... You get about half the time? You would get about half the time with a battery that had half the usable capacity (Watt hours). Battery type is not so r...

Re: Choosing a Battery

I would stay away from lead acid batteries. Scroll down on this link and look at the discharge plot of LiFePO4 vs SLA. Long story short: Don't buy a $60 battery for a $600 CPAP... First Night at Home with CPAP

I was finally able to get some sleep equipment. I ordered a Resmed Airmini and AirSense 10 Auto. I used the Airmini because the AirSense has not come it. The P10 really made the rims of my nose hurt, but I hung in there with it (changed to the Large size). After about an hour this morning the sorene...

Conversation with Insurer About Equipment Purchase

Ok, I found some good stuff about purchasing equipment from DME's. So I decided to ask the insurer a question: Do you allow reimbursements for cash CPAP purchases? Do you pay by HCPC code or do you cover only certain machines/models? If so, do you pay more for some machines/models than others? Do yo...

Just Washed the Sensor Grease Out of My Hair

Well, I just washed the sensor grease out of my hair today. The sleep study last night was interesting to say the least. A part of me didn't want to be there, but I knew I had a problem after the in-home sleep test (AHI 55). The polysomnogram used a Wisp CPAP Nasal Mask. After a split moment of fear...
