Re: New machine and mask

I am thinking that my mask is leaking around the chin mostly. I am on a full face mask and it is happening about 2 hours into therapy. The leak is enough to wake me and I believe it is a combination of my jaw relaxing and the pressure increasing. I am on bipap as my pressure is very high. Typical re...

New machine and mask

I have been using my new machine and mask now for just about a week. I have yet to go more then a few hours without the urge to rip the thing off. All is fine when I go to bed but within an hour or two I am either waking up due to leaking noise or air blowing out the side of my mask. Or the mask is ...

Re: Insights into machines and masks

Airsense 10 Autoset vs Dreamstation Auto w/ Humidifier I see a $200 price difference between these two models. If anyone has experience with both please tell me what you thought the pros and cons of each model were. I have seen mixed reviews on each and on the Myair vs dreammapper software. I have ...

Insights into machines and masks

I have a diagnosis and I m scheduled for a titration study in a few weeks. I have been looking at videos for various machine and mask combinations. My previous machine was a ResMed model from like thirty years ago and was probably little more than an air compressor compared to today's models. What r...

Re: Just had a sleep study done

Thanks, everyone for your comments. Things are definitely a lot different today than 30 years ago. My diagnosis is in, my apnea/hypopnea index was 75. I have a titration study scheduled. From the look of things, I am leaning without much data to a pillow mask or a combination nasal pillow/mouth mask...

Just had a sleep study done

About thirty years ago, I was diagnosed with hypopnea and prescribed a CPAP. Long story short, over the years, I used my machine less and less until I stopped using it altogether. As a part of some ongoing health issues, my sleep disorder has been revisited—all new doctors, new sleep study, etc. I d...
