Re: New Article: New concerns
Just saw a new report about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkLgSKczeVM Investigators seem to be claiming that it is sources within the company who are expressing concern over testing results of the new silicone material in the replacement machines, that it is emitting formaldehyde and other ch...

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription
Yes, that was from the insurance company. It's about time to choose the plan for this year, I'm going to see if there's a better one available.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 5:23 pmThat's strange. Did you get this information directly from the insurance company? Or the doctor's office? Or a lying DME?

I'm planning to get it. I'm going to wait another week or so because this last covid booster really kicked my butt.

APAP here. I have to keep the initial pressure low to keep the aerophagia down.

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription
My state requires a yearly prescription. Fortunately, my PCP is willing to write it because she knows how important it is to my health. Unfortunately, my Medicare advantage plan said that wasn't good enough, they insisted I need a new sleep study before they will cover anything cpap related. I am no...

Re: first night with Bleep
I found it useful to keep a magnifying mirror at my bed so I could connect and disconnect those things. In the end, I couldn't get it comfortable enough I think because of the way my nose/nares are shaped but it sure is a nice way to go if it can work for you!

Their core profit doubled at the same time they are going through this massive recall? That is wild.

Re: Rookie mistake, tossed my other masks
Sorry, hit submit too soon. I have tended to do the opposite, hanging on to every mask and part over the years. I finally threw out 14 years worth of masks and parts this year. I found that my initial impressions were pretty spot-on and I never ended up using the masks that didn't work again. (I did...

It can be pretty tough to use the cpap when you are congested with a cold.

Pro Publica webinar about Phillips recall
I signed up for this webinar today but didn't end up being able to get home in time for it. Did anyone else catch it? Any good information?

I just put a coat hook on the wall next to my headboard, I hang the tube with the mask attached over that.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
if you start a thread about this, the forum may be able to help. Thanks, Zonker. Back when I first got the Airsense I did have a thread about it and with help from the folks here I got the settings as perfect as possible, but still got some aerophagia. When I got my replacement Dream Station, I swi...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Is this quote about "at least" 385 deaths correct? I'm stunned to see that, too. I'm thinking these must be self-reported incidents, perhaps deaths that loved ones suspect were due to the cpap? I don't know how one would even go about proving a death was due to the cpap machine unless it was direct...

I don't understand how anyone was expecting this to work or, more to the point, what they expect it to do, exactly.
