Re: Back After 4 Years
Well I guess I should read some manuals. I had the machine set to full face and not pillows. Also I think my sizing is off. I thought my sizing would stay the same but going over everything I need the large headgear as the top strap is basically on the back of my head and I should actually be in a m...

Re: Back After 4 Years
So I got my new resmed airsense 11 and new F40 mask. New mask seemed to fit well and felt comfortable. Passed the leak test, but seems like the leak test only does 10 pressure? I'd think it'd just do your max pressure setting. I obviously still have some leaking issues and probably others you may no...

Re: Back After 4 Years
Yea. I'd say my nose is stuffed up a good bit in the morning. Probably 50/50. My thing with sleep is that I can fall asleep at any given moment in about 10 seconds and sleep fine. So I feel as if I'm sleeping soundly for the 6-7 hours, but not sure of the actual quality. Because I can wake up, go ea...

Back After 4 Years
Wanted to start off by saying even though I haven't been here for 4 years, it's a good thing, because things have been much more successful thanks to this site and anyone that's helped me in the past. So Thank You! For 2 years, I had basically given up. Using my CPAP maybe once a week and usually ju...

Re: Going backwards. I don't understand.
Thanks for the replies. I have a doctor's appointment next week so I'll definitely bring this all up to him, thank you. I put the minimum back down to 8 to try to get some relief from the chest pain and my chest has felt better throughout the day. I believe Miss Emerita is most likely correct in tha...

Going backwards. I don't understand.
Sorry for making a new thread. My AHI hadn't been getting better. I was continuing to have events so I kept raising my minimum up to try and get rid of them and it seemed like it might have been working, but then this night happened. 14 events in 30 minutes. 4 and a half minutes of not breathing in ...

Re: Newbie trying to figure this all out. Any help would be appreciated
I hadn't posted in a while because I was struggling and not having very successful CPAP nights. I kept waking up and ripping the mask off out of annoyance. I used to never wake up in the middle of the night so now I just want a good night's sleep. I finally got in a rhythm and had 3 good nights in a...

Re: Newbie trying to figure this all out. Any help would be appreciated
Another thing is I've been having these weird moments while I'm drifting off asleep. Right as I'm about to go out I wake myself up just enough to notice I'm not breathing. It happened 3 times in a row, in a short period of time, and I made note of it and let myself doze off to look at it later. Are...

Re: Newbie trying to figure this all out. Any help would be appreciated
I got my new mask (F20) yesterday and I definitely like the fit and consistency of it not moving around as much at night. I still feel I have to put it pretty tight for it to not fart/leak by my cheeks when it's at 20 cm. I watched the mask fit videos as you recommended but no one is putting it near...

Re: Newbie trying to figure this all out. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks zonker. I agree on the higher minimum I'll try that out tonight. I think I've been ripping it off because I'm not used to waking up in the middle of the night so I'm getting frustrated. I used to never cognitively wake up at all, so I'm blaming the waking up right now on the mask and I don't ...

Re: Newbie trying to figure this all out. Any help would be appreciated
Got the leaks down a good bit. Still waiting to try the new mask when it shows up because it was hurting my nose wearing it this tight. I definitely liked the EPR and it seems I didn't wake up when the pressure was at 20 cm, so I think I'm moving in the right direction. I was more comfortable with t...

Re: Newbie trying to figure this all out. Any help would be appreciated
Thank you. I thought the EPR stuff was automatic, but I got it set now, I'm really optimistic to try that out. I do have 2 pillows. I've never found it that comfortable, but my wife always put 2, so I used 2. I will definitely get rid of one if you think it'll help. I'm not sure about the tucking of...

Thank you. I didn't even realize that wasn't on. That should help me a lot.
