DMEs have been known to snatch the odd sizes out of fit packs and repack them for sale.
With the pandemic, this is happening less--(should be not at all.)

Thank you Pugsy that is good to know. I just checked online, the cost for a 24 h monitor would be mine, it was quoted between $65 and $75 for the 24h period. I can see now why a Dr would not prescribe for much longer..... This is why some people choose to purchase supplemental insurance every year ...
