Re: New Member Indroduction
It's been a while since I posted and thought I would quickly share an update. Using the foam cervical collar has really been a game changer. Mouth breathing is pretty much non existent, AHI numbers are generally below 2.00 and my leak rates are considerably lower as a general rule. Here is a pretty ...

Re: New Member Indroduction
1 data point is hardly something to hang your hat on. Yep but better than having no data points to hang your hat on. So 6 days in with the P30i and a cervical collar and I have averaged an AHI around 2.2 over that time frame with zero mouth leaks. I was absolutely feeling better from the ther...

Re: Renamed: DurtGurl's adventures in therapy
There are so many cheap variations of the cervical collar on Amazon... Might you have a recommendation for something comfortable and non-itchy? I would start out with a 3- or 3.5-inch, soft DMI (or similar) brand. Eventually, I moved up to a 4-inch, firm Carex. The latter is more effective for me, ...

Re: New Member Indroduction
Remember though...the proof is in the pudding...how you sleep and how you feel and don't just tunnel vision onto a set of numbers because the best numbers in the world don't mean squat if you don't feel them. This is the basis for my cautious level of optimism. I feel great today and was up and out...

Re: New Member Indroduction
I received my Cervical Collar yesterday and thought I would give it a try with my P30i to see what it would be like. The collar is not THAT uncomfortable but I did go to bed a little earlier than normal just to try to get acclimated to it and before I knew it I was fast asleep. I woke up at around 1...

Re: New Member Indroduction
So using the FFM again seems to be grounding my leak issues. I have a foam cervical collar coming today and mouthpiece to try over the next couple weeks in hopes of getting back to my P30i. My graph from last night is below and it looks like of the 13 OA's I had all night, 10 of them occurred almost...

Re: New Member Indroduction
I looked at my settings last night and Ramp is set to Auto.
Here is my graph from last night. It's not quite what I expected to see as I felt I slept very well and went right to sleep.

Re: New Member Indroduction
Are you using auto ramp or regular ramp? Were you by chance on your back when the machine increased the pressure markedly? Not sure what the difference is between Auto vs Regular ramp but I will research that and report back. I believe I may have been on my back at that point. I tend to start out o...

Re: New Member Indroduction
I still had a fair amount of obstructions which seem to be right around the time I actually fell asleep but going back to the F20 seems to be grounding my leak problems a lot better. I have a cervical collar ordered and should be here in a couple days. Still holding out hope I can get back to a my n...

Re: New Member Indroduction
Yes...raise your max pressure to 20 and see what happens. You might end up needing a little more minimum but I would give the machine a chance to better do its job without its little hands tied with the restriction on the max. I will try that for the next couple nights and see what happens. Thank y...

Re: New Member Indroduction
So the last couple of nights going back to the F20 FFM seem to have helped with the leak rates. I seem to be having a ton of events in the first hour and a half and then things level off. Any thoughts? Should I try raising my max pressure from 15 to 16 since during those periods of several events I ...

Re: New Member Indroduction
Maineguy, you have a lot of flow limitations that usually respond to the pressure support from EPR, and of course there are the clusters of OA that suggest a chin-tucking problem. I recommend you turn your EPR up to 3 and that should improve the flow limitations which drive your pressure. Take a lo...
